You won’t believe what we discovered in Disney Springs recently. As you may know, Disney Springs has been going through quite a few big changes lately. We’ve seen new shopping spots appear, old stores disappear, and even a shop relocation or two!
World of Disney in Disney Springs
On a recent trip to Disney Springs, we were SHOCKED to find another store was closed during our visit. Let’s take a look.
The Tren-D store (the shop adjacent to the Marketplace Co-Op) was closed when we stopped by on June 29th. The lights were turned off and the doors were shut. Say WHAT?! This closure really came out of left field!

Upon closer inspection, we noticed a sign reading, “Please pardon our appearance. Something new is coming soon.” That said, Disney has not made any official statements on the status of this shop, so it remains to be seen if this is a permanent closure.

In the past, we’ve seen the “Please pardon our appearance” sign appear when a shop officially closes. For example, when the Melissa shoe store recently closed, that same sign appeared on the door. What could this mean for the future of Tren-D? We’ll have to wait and see!

After speaking with a few Guest Relations Cast Members at the Disney Springs location, it sounds like the store could be closing. But keep in mind that Disney has not shared any additional details on the future of the store. Based on the current language, it seems as though something new is coming. However, it’s also possible that this is a temporary closure and the store will be back up and running like normal soon. We’ll be watching to see what happens next!

I was also at Disney Springs on June 29th and was shocked to see the store closed and the same sign hanging on the door. We love the Tren-D Store and always make sure to visit when we are at DS. Even more surprising to me was that we had stopped and asked a cast member the quickest way to get to the Tren-D store from where we were and he directed us specifically to that store, clearly not realizing it was closed. So it seems at though this news comes as a surprise not only to the general public but to cast members alike. I am hoping to see the store back open when we return to DS in the future.
