It’s no secret that a LOT of things are getting more expensive in Disney World.
We’ve seen the price of food go up. We’ve seen the price of souvenirs go up. We’ve seen the price of Disney World tickets go up. Recently, we saw the price of Magic Kingdom fireworks cruises increase by 30%. The same can be said for hotel rooms, and that’s something that will continue to get more expensive, but by how much? Well, let’s find out.
According to hospitalitynet.org, the average price of hotel rooms will go up a little over 3 percent in 2024 (as compared to hotel room prices in 2023). For example, if you paid $150 for a hotel room in 2023, you should expect to pay around $155 for that same room in 2024.
So let’s see how this would affect prices for a Disney World deluxe resort.
Prices for the week of July 16th through 22nd, 2023, for Disney’s Yacht Club Resort are $493.71 per night. In 2024 for the same week, the study linked above projects that the cost will be $508.52 per night. However, we’re currently seeing that the price in 2024 is closer to $590 per night. It seems like Disney’s hotel price increases are higher than the 3% average expected between 2023 and 2024.
Let’s look at a moderate resort. In 2023, that same week costs $261.45 per night at Disney’s Port Orleans Resort — French Quarter. In 2024, a 3% increase would take it to $270 per night. However, the Disney World website currently has its standard view rooms priced at $302 per night. Again, Disney is ahead of that 3% price increase estimation.
When looking at value resorts, we saw that the room rate for that week in 2023 for Disney’s All-Star Music Resort is $152.58 per night. In 2024, a 3% increase would be $157 per night. When we looked at actual prices for 2024, however, they were around $189 per night.
Now, keep in mind that the 2023 rates we looked at include a 25% off hotel rooms promotion, so it’s likely Disney World rooms could cost a bit more in 2024. However, the good news is that Disney has started releasing more promotions like that, so you could end up saving money in 2024 if that trend continues.
For example, that 25% hotel discount is good from July 11th to August 20th and September 15th to September 28th. You can also save 30% off most nights from August 21st to September 14th. There are also hotel room deals available for the holiday season for select Disney World visitors.
So although hotel prices will probably go up next year, there are ways to find deals and discounts. We’ll be sure to share ALL of them with you, too, so stay tuned to DFB for more.

While I love staying on Disney property, the hotel prices have become ridiculous.. you pretty much have the the Standard amenities in a Disney room as any other hotel. For 500 or 600 dollars they should include a few extras like bikes etc …but everything is an extra charge except transportation……yes it magical and all that ….but come on….how many people can no longer afford that so called magic?

In June 2019 my family and I were in Disney World. Two rooms for 6 days at Pop Century and 4 days at The Polynesian. The Polynesian cost $485 a night inclusive of tax. In 2022 the cost for the Polynesian was over $800 a night. Why Disney?

The All Star resorts at $178 is insane since I can get a suite at Marriott for the same price!
