Y’all. We have been eating a LOT in Disney World over the past few days.
Why? For science, of course! Also, for YOU, our DFB readers, so we can give you honest reviews on every snack that turns up at Disney World. That’s why we ate the ULTIMATE loaded hot dog, TONS of Flavors of Florida treats, and an EPIC Indiana Jones-themed cake. Well, we’re back at it again with three MORE snacks.
So let’s head over to EPCOT first to Sunshine Seasons to try out the first two snacks. First up is the Fourth of July Shake for $12. It’s a red velvet shake with whipped cream and red velvet cake. Doesn’t that sound decadent? The shake was DELICIOUS and very creamy. It also didn’t melt as fast as some of the other shakes we’ve had in Disney — which happens A LOT because, well, it’s HOT.
The red velvet cake surprised us because it was moist. The flavors were pretty classic (some may say basic), but if you like red velvet cake, you’ll love this. To be fair, we questioned the quality of the whipped cream, but overall, it wasn’t a deal breaker. We’d also like to say that this shake sounds more decadent than it is. If you REALLY want decadent, get the Asteroid Shake at Auntie Gravity’s Galactic Goodies in Magic Kingdom.
We’re sticking around Sunshine Seasons to pick up the Disney100 Mickey Cookies ‘n Cream Cheesecake for $5.49. This is a Mickey-shaped cheesecake layered with cookies ‘n cream mousse and a chocolate crumble crust. All we can say is that Disney NAILED IT with this dessert. It’s the right size for the price; the cheesecake is thick and creamy, and the cake has a light cookies and cream layer that doesn’t overpower the rest of the cheesecake. YUM.
Also, LOOK WHAT WE FOUND INSIDE. There’s a Hidden Mickey in our cheesecake. Do you see it? If you stick around in Disney World long enough, you start seeing them everywhere! Now we know that Disney does have Mickey-shaped chocolate chips, but we’re not sure if this is one or if this is just happenstance. But either way, it’s still cute. By the way, we also loved the chocolate crumble crust.
Okay, now we’re park hopping over to Disney’s Hollywood Studios to visit the Gelato Cart. We previously had the POG Sorbet from this cart, and YES, it was amazing. Oh, and good news, it’s still on the menu as a permanent flavor!

The POG Gelato is a permanent menu addition!
Well, now, just in time for summer, you can get Watermelon Sorbet for $7.50 for a single scoop. This isn’t just watermelon-flavored — we’re pretty sure there is real watermelon in there because it tastes fresh, PLUS there were little pieces of watermelon seeds (ground up) in it.
This treat IS sweet, though, but it’s about the same level of sweetness as a ripe, delicious watermelon. That’s basically what this tastes like — the perfect watermelon, frozen and turned into a sorbet. If you love the taste of real watermelon (we’re not talking about that fake Jolly Rancher watermelon flavor), you need to try this.
Basically, all three of these treats were pretty much a win for us. But we’re still eating our way around Disney World, and we’ll keep reporting back in with our honest reviews of all the new snacks and foods we find. So stay tuned to DFB for more.
