Who doesn’t need a sweet treat after walking around Disney World all day?
You can find yummy treats around Disney World, like this one with a hidden Mickey inside! There are always things changing on Disney menus with new items being added. Did you know we just tried 12 NEW snacks at Disney Springs? Most of them were made for people with a sweet tooth, like us. So when we heard there was a new ice cream treat at a Disney hotel, you know we had to go try it.
We’re heading to Disney’s All-Star Sports Resort to check out the Churro Sundae. This sundae comes with Ice Cream, Hot Fudge, Caramel, Whipped Cream, a Cherry, and of course Mini Churros. You do get a choice of Vanilla, Chocolate, Strawberry, Mint Chocolate, or Sherbet ice cream in the sundae. So let’s dig in.
The sundae comes with 5 mini churros, and we think those were the stars of the show. They add some crunchy texture to the creamy (and somewhat melted) ice cream. They are coated in cinnamon sugar and add a lot of flavor to an otherwise typical sundae.
The ice cream itself was good, and the vanilla in it was rich. We enjoyed the hot fudge and caramel toppings that were easily mixed in with the ice cream and whipped cream.
As you can see, the sundae does melt fast in the Florida heat, but the End Zone Food Court has a large indoor seating area for you to enjoy your sundae inside.
If you remember, we also tried the Churro Sundae at La Cantina de San Angel in the Mexico Pavilion at EPCOT a few months back. This sundae was $7.99 and consisted of caramel and vanilla swirl soft serve (you can choose one or both) with caramel sauce, mini churros, and red, white, and green sprinkles. You can also add chocolate sauce if your heart desires!
The EPCOT sundae is made with soft-serve ice cream, while the All-Star Sports one is made with a more traditional ice cream base. Although we did enjoy the one at La Cantina de San Angel, for the price, we think the one at All-Star Sports is a better deal.
So if you love churros and ice cream, this treat is for you. But if you’re used to the freshly baked churros (like Disneyland churros), you might be a little disappointed, but that’s just us being picky and showing favoritism to those Disneyland churros. And if you aren’t a fan of churros or large sundaes, we recommend checking out the Sweet Summertime Favorites treat at All-Star Sports instead.
For $6.79, we think you get a lot for the price — especially considering that Mickey’s Premium Ice Cream Bar is $5.99. You could even share this sundae with someone else. Who knew you could find an amazing ice cream sundae at All-Star Sports?!
