It’s true — photos are often a fan-favorite souvenir for many Disney Parks visitors.
Whether you pose in front of Cinderella Castle while a PhotoPass photographer snaps photos of you and your crew, or you plan out which pose you’ll do on the drop of Expedition Everest when the camera flashes for the ride photo, there’s probably no other souvenir that captures the essence of a Disney trip quite like photos do. The only problem is that these photos can get a bit… pricey. However, we have a trick that’ll help you save a little bit of money. If you’re hoping to capture all the memories throughout your next trip, and save some money doing so, this post is just for you.
Memory Maker is a package that allows you to download all your PhotoPass, dining, and attraction photos that are taken throughout your trip, as well as the photos of anyone you’re friends with on the Disney World app. You can either do this for the length of your entire trip, or for one day. Let’s talk about the options!
To download ALL of the photos for the length of your trip, the Memory Maker package is $199. However, if you purchase the package in advance, you can get it for as low as $169. This price isn’t per person, so only one person in the group needs to purchase the package. A lot of groups just split the cost so that it’s cheaper for everyone!
In some cases, it could actually be cheaper to buy single-day Memory Maker packages, which are $69 per day. If you’re visiting for only two days, this is probably the better option. However, these aren’t available to purchase in advance. You have to purchase them the day-of while you’re in the parks, or purchase it once your vacation is over but before your photos expire.
Your photos expire 45 days after they were taken. However, if your photos do expire or are close to expiring, Disney can sometimes bring them back if you purchase an Expiration Extension package.
