Genie+ CHANGED recently in Disney World. Now, you purchase the service for the specific park you want to visit, meaning that Genie+ will have a different price depending on where you plan to use it. For example, it might cost $25 for Magic Kingdom on one day, but just $18 for Disney’s Animal Kingdom on that same day.
The price is different based on the park, and it also may change depending on the day, based on the demand on any given day. We’ve seen the pricing change a little bit over the last few days since the change, but what does that pricing look like on a HOLIDAY? Let’s find out!
On the Fourth of July, Genie+ pricing was as follows:
- Multiple Parks: $29
- Magic Kingdom: $29
- EPCOT: $21
- Disney’s Hollywood Studios: $26
- Disney’s Animal Kingdom: $18
This is higher than what we saw on July 1st and 2nd, but the same as what we saw on July 3rd. On July 2nd, pricing was $25 for the multi-park option, $25 for Magic Kingdom, $18 for EPCOT, $22 for Hollywood Studios, and $16 for Animal Kingdom.
But, on July 3rd, the pricing was the same as today — multi-park Genie+ was $29, Magic Kingdom was $29, EPCOT was $21, Hollywood Studios was $26, and Animal Kingdom was $18.
This trend is pretty normal, with Genie+ prices increasing during busy times (like summer and the holidays). The same thing generally happens with hotel and ticket prices. You’ll want to expect that Genie+ price to potentially increase even more once the Halloween and holiday seasons roll around!
What about Individual Lightning Lane prices? Here’s what they were like on July 4th, 2023:
- Seven Dwarfs Mine Train: $12
- TRON Lightcycle / Run: $20
- Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind: $17
- Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance: $25
- Avatar Flight of Passage: $16
Again, this is the same as the prices we saw on July 3rd, but slightly increased from the prices we saw on July 1st and 2nd.

$15 is gone forever….we will never see it again. What Disney is doing is slick…they got everyone used to the idea that they need to purchase Genie Plus to have a good experience….and have quietly raised the price ever since. Going from $15 to $25 is over a 50% increase in one year. I predict in 2024 you won’t see $25 again.

I agree with Dottyanna. I think that the prices will just continue to inch up. Interestingly, I was there with my family in June and we walked on many rides that said they had quite long wait times. For example, Soarin said 30 minutes and we walked on. Aliens saucers said 45 minutes and we got seated after one round. Most rides SAID they had a wait but didn’t. We were very happy we had not bothered to purchase Genie as we were walking up with the people who had paid.
