Are you ready to find out how the Walt Disney Company is doing financially?
Disney held its Q2 Earnings Call back in May, and we learned about how Disney Parks are doing, as well as how Disney+ is doing. These calls are held every quarter and sometimes they even include some big announcements, like news on franchise sequels. We’re usually looking forward to these calls, if only to learn how Disney is doing as a company, and now we know when to expect the next one.
The Walt Disney Company’s Q3 2023 earnings call will take place on Wednesday, August 9th, at 4:30PM ET. This call will take place during a live audio webcast, with the results released in a report after the close of regular trading on August 9th.
This comes after the company has completed its last round of lay-offs, which included laying off 7,000 employees, as well as other cost-cutting measures taking place at the company, including the cutting of spending on non-sports content. Streaming has also been hit with some cuts, as some shows have been removed from both Hulu and Disney+ to cut some of the company’s costs with streaming. We could get an indication of how these cost-cutting measures have affected the company within the past quarter.
We could also learn more about how the current WGA strike is impacting future productions for both movies and TV shows. Some Disney-owned productions have already shut down as a result of the strike. We’ll know for sure, though on August 9th — we’ll be covering EVERYTHING announced during the earnings call, so stay tuned to DFB for more.
