Many people, us included, are big fans of the Pirates of the Caribbean series.

We also love riding the Pirates of the Caribbean ride at Disney World and Disneyland whenever we get the chance. The star of the series is Johnny Depp, who, as you probably remember, played the famous Captain Jack Sparrow. It’s been a while since Jack Sparrow’s last on-screen appearance, but now it seems Depp would be willing to return to Disney if the time is right.
According to People, a source close to Johnny Depp shared that while the star felt “betrayed” by Disney after the company distanced itself from him, he now has said that “Anything is possible” and that “If it’s the right project, he’ll do it.”

Last year, according to People, Depp clarified that a claim that he was returning to the Pirates franchise was false. Around that same time, the saga’s producer Jerry Bruckheimer was asked if Depp would potentially return for the two Pirates scripts that were being written. Bruckheimer said Depp wasn’t involved at the time but that “the future is yet to be decided.”

It’s important to note that a June 4th article from The New York Times noted that Disney is seemingly “inching the door open” to collaborate with Depp again. Now that Depp has said he’s open to it, it’s possible we could see a new relationship with Disney.

While we don’t know if Depp will return to the Pirates franchise, he was just recently at Cannes Film Festival promoting his film Jeanne du Barry. He’s also set to direct the Al Pacino-starring biopic Modi. Could Depp return for a NEW Disney movie or reprise his role as Captain Jack? We’ll have to wait and see!

I have been streaming the media for what seams like a lifetime, hoping to here good news about Jonny Depp finally considering going back to Disney!! Jonny Depp taking on the roll as Jack Sparrow again would be the best news ever! No one else could ever fill his shoes as Captain Jack Sparrow. When he takes on the roll as Jack Sparrow, that’s when I know Jonny Is Back!!
Everyone wants Depp back ! All their movies are bombing because they are trying to send messages to us in them. We go to movies to relax and unwind not to get some kind of a lecture! Would be the smartest decision they have made in a very long long time!!!!!
Interesting. Seems like it was earlier this summer that JD or his agent was reported as saying he was not interested in coming back to Disney after they threw him under the bus because they chose to believe Amber Heard. And I haven’t read anything to say Disney has apologized.
Personally I wish he wouldn’t come back because I agree no one could replace him in the role and hopefully that would mean the film doesn’t happen. Disney & Kathleen Kennedy have ruined too many franchises already including Bruckheimer’s National Treasure.

Yes, most definitely. I had already decided I would probally not watch Ny more if someone else played the part. Not to be spiteful.. I dont think anyone else could play the part like him.. in my opinion they know that and will lose alot of money since I dont think alot of others would either.
Has to be Depp. Not sure why all the drama but this is a winning team and an epic span of movies. everything fits together perfectly. Don’t mess with a good thing! Fans love it.
I too would love to see Mr. Depp back in the roles of Captain Jack Sparrow. No one can play that role quite like he can. My fingers are crossed that we’ll see him back on the silver screen one day soon.

I’ve been praying that Johnny Depp would come back as Captain Jack!!! If Disney doesn’t make it right with JD, and he won’t come back, they may as well trash any possibility of anymore PIRATES movies. JD is Capt Jack and the movies would be Dead in the water without him!
