There are regular gas stations and rest stops, and then there are Buc-ee’s.

Some consider this to be the “Disney World of Gas Stations” thanks to its multitude of gas station pumps, plethora of restrooms, and tons of unique snacks. We already shared how a NEW Buc-ee’s location is going to be built in Ocala, Florida (about an hour and a half away from Disney World) but now we’ve got more news about what it’ll make it extra special.
Get ready Central Florida — not only will there be a new Buc-ee’s coming in the future, but it’ll actually be the world’s LARGEST. According to WFTV 9, a new Buc-ee’s recently opened in Tennessee as the world’s largest, but it seems like the one in Ocala would be even BIGGER.

According to some county records, it looks like the Ocala location will actually be 80,000 square feet! The one that opened in 2023 in Tennessee is 74,000 square feet and another location is underway (in Texas) that’ll be 75,000 square feet.

The Ocala Buc-ee’s won’t be the first in Florida though. There are already Buc-ee’s locations in Daytona Beach and St. Augustine. But the Ocala location will be the first Buc-ee’s off I-75 in Florida.Â
WFTV 9 points out that Governor Ron DeSantis had granted Ocala a $4 million grant to construct a new Interstate 75 interchange at NW 49th Street. That new interchange is expected to open at the same time as the Buc-ee’s.

So if you’ll be traveling to or from the Most Magical Place on Earth and passing by that area, a trip to Buc-ee’s may be in your future. Never been to Buc-ee’s before? Well, get READY for an adventure. This chain is famous for its merchandise, variety of snacks (the Beaver Nuggets and jerky are popular favorites), clean bathrooms, and gas pumps galore.

I love the Carmel popcorn “nuggets” (pictured). My son and his family love the ginger snap cookies. My husband loved the jerky flavors I picked up for him in GA. Snd the cinnamon rolls rival Cinnabon ANY day – Yummy! But – hands down – my All Time Favorite Buc-ee’s fare is the Brisket. Words cannot describe it justly. You’ve gotta try it!
