Need another reason to visit Disney Springs soon? We’ve got just the incentive!
Now that we’ve had a chance to try out a few of the treats coming for the Flavors of Florida event at Disney Springs, we’re hungry for more. Gideon’s Bakehouse brought back a fan-favorite cookie for that event, but now they’ve announced that ANOTHER popular treat will also return for a limited time!
If you’ve ever had a sweet tooth craving while at Disney Springs, chances are you’ve known just where to stop in and curb it! Gideon’s Bakehouse has a huge following thanks to its multitude of flavored cookies, drinks, and cakes. If you don’t already know where their store is at Disney Springs, you can find them in The Landing section, close to Morimoto Asia and Wine Bar George. You’ll want to get there early on any given day because they’re usually fairly busy — even with a line and virtual queue system!
Gideon’s Bakehouse announced on Instagram that they’re bringing back a popular holiday treat to celebrate Christmas in July. The Kris Kringle Cookie Bites are making a limited-time return to Disney Springs now through Sunday, July 16th, 2023!
Apparently, this festive celebration in July isn’t a favorite event for Gideon’s Bakehouse. In the announcement post about these treats returning, they said, “Ugh … Am I a humbug because I don’t care about Christmas in July? But, lucky for you, I do care about the Kris Kringle Cookie.” Surely Halloween is more up their alley!
The Kris Kringle Cookie is a white chocolate chip cookie filled with a “complex mix of flavors like coconut, caramel, and vanilla.” Gideon’s Bakehouse takes it one step further by adding freshly ground coffee beans throughout the cookie. The bitterness of the bean is added to balance out the sweetness in the rest of the combined flavors. Note that the cookie itself will not be available — just the bites! The bites are quarters of the cookie that are hand-dipped in white chocolate. They will be very limited each day and will be on a first-come, first-serve basis. There’s a limit of 2 bags per person with 6 bites in each bag.
While you’ve stopped in for a visit, be sure to ask about the new collectible pin, too!
Babegubadijádzs (Babe) is out in a new design. He’s around to help protect the things (and ones) you care about most so feel free to pin him to something, and all will be well.
This collectible pin is now available in the store and online as an oversized metal glow-in-the-dark jewel and is limited to only 3000 pins of his likeness.
Additionally, Steve Lewis of Gideon’s Bakehouse has been invited by Disney Springs to speak during the Flavors of Florida Culinary Series! Steve will be taking you through the story of how Gideon’s Bakehouse came to be.
If you want a chance to hear the Gideon’s origins story, plan to be at Disney Springs Waterview Park Stage (next to The BOATHOUSE) on July 28th, 2023. They ask that you arrive early, but the discussion will officially kick off at 10:30AM and will last approximately an hour. There’s no required advance registration for this event, you can just show up and enjoy a captivating culinary discussion! Waterview Park seating is on a first-come, first-serve basis so if you’re looking to attend, be sure to give yourself ample time to get to Disney Springs. You may park as early as 8:30AM and enter Disney Springs as early as 9:00AM. We recommend parking in the Orange Garage that’s closest. We’ve actually attended a few of these culinary demonstrations in this series for Flavors of Florida already this year and had a great time listing to the chefs and sommeliers.
