If you’re visiting Disney World next week, heads up! One of the most popular EPCOT rides is going to be CLOSED on Wednesday, July 19th.
Disney will shut down rides for a variety of reasons. Sometimes there’s bad weather in the area that would make riding that attraction dangerous, or maybe there’s a technical difficulty that prevents it from running correctly. Either way, there’s one beloved ride you CAN’T visit on the 19th.
Spaceship Earth will be CLOSED on Wednesday, July 19th.Â
This is the ride inside the iconic EPCOT ball. Disney didn’t give a reason for the closure — the ride simply isn’t listing any hours for the 19th.
The closure is likely due to routine maintenance on the attraction, and it’s only going to last one day according to Disney’s schedule.
This isn’t the only closure in EPCOT, though! Currently, Refreshment Port and Refreshment Station are both closed, and neither will reopen until July 27th, 2023 (when the 2023 EPCOT Food & Wine Festival begins!).
Recently, we’ve spotted some changes at Traveler’s Café (previously the Starbucks location before Connections Café opened), which we’re hoping could mean that spot will reopen! Whether it’ll return as a Starbucks or as another kind of food and drink stand is yet to be heard.
