Barbie came out on July 21st, and since then, it’s safe to say that our love for the iconic brand and many others from our childhood has been revamped.
Like, can we just move into our own Dreamhouse in our own little Dreamworld? That sounds fun. If you’re in agreement and have spent the past weekend wishing you could be Barbie for a day, that wish might be a real possibility at an all-new theme park coming to Arizona.
According to USAToday, Mattel Adventure Park is currently under construction in Glendale Arizona, 15 miles west of downtown Phoenix. This park will span nine acres and will feature more than 160,000 square feet of amusement space. This theme park is part of the all-new VAI Resort, which will feature an outdoor concert venue, four hotels, a nightclub, and more.
At Mattel Adventure Park, you can experience themed rides and attractions based on fan-favorite Mattel brands like Barbie, Hot Wheels, Pictionary, Thomas the Train, and even UNO. The Barbie elements are probably what we’re most excited about — and it has nothing to do with the Barbie kick we’re on after seeing the film recently. It just sounds so cool! The park will feature a Barbie Beach House experience with a Barbie “flying theater,” as well as a Dream Closet Experience. The best part? Get ready. GET READY.
There will be a BARBIE ROOFTOP RESTAURANT with pink-themed drinks and both sweet and savory snacks. This theme park is set to open in 2024, but we’re already planning our Barbie-themed outfits to wear to this rooftop.
In terms of an opening date, no specifics have yet been announced — other than the fact that it will open sometime in 2024. We’ll let you know more information as soon as we have it. Until then, we’ll keep you updated with any and all theme park news and updates. Make sure to follow along for more!
