Everyone remain calm and grab your stretchy pants — because the 2023 EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival is finally here!
We wait all year long for this festival and it has a LOT to offer. There are plenty of food booths with tasty items, merchandise items to grab (of course), and even concerts to watch. And if you’re curious about it all, you’ve come to the right place because we’re bringing you with us as we eat, see, and do everything at the 2023 EPCOT Food & Wine Festival!
Festival Dates
The EPCOT 2023 Food & Wine Festival officially kicked off on July 27th and will run all the way through November 18th — which means you’ve got plenty of time to eat and drink your way around the world!
That’s plenty of time for you to plan a visit to check out what this festival has to offer.
Getting Started
To start your time at the Festival the right way, be sure to pick up a Festival Passport. This has all the food booths and menus, plus info about Emile’s Fromage Montage!
You can also grab a Food & Wine Festival gift card wristlet that you can reload to stay on budget!
You can also download our DFB-exclusive Food & Wine Festival map, and download our FREE DFB-exclusive Food & Wine Festival printable with all the booth details!
Crowds
We certainly weren’t alone when we got to EPCOT this morning, but since a majority of the festival booths don’t open until 11AM, the crowds weren’t too bad — yet. At the entrance, there was a bit of a backup right at the beginning of the day, but as we moved further into the park the crowds seemed to disperse.
Even when we stopped at Connections Cafe, which is usually pretty busy, the crowds were kind of tame. But, chances are we’ll be seeing more and more folks show up throughout the day.
And now, on to the main event — the food!
Food and Drinks
It wouldn’t be the Food & Wine Festival without food and wine, of course! We’ll but updating this page with our reviews as we eat our way around EPCOT!
Connections Cafe & Eatery
We got the Remy Liege Waffle, which is a Cream Cheese Liege Waffle with Cream Cheese Icing, Graham Cracker Crumbs, and a Remy Chocolate Garnish for $4.19.
It’s very creamy! The waffle is soft but firm where it needs to be to hold its form. It’s a little messy with the sugar coating and cream cheese icing, and the Remy garnish is also melty in the sun.
First things first, the NEW Remy Liege Waffle from Connections Cafe! 🐭

There’s also a festival drink at Connections! It’s the Yucatan Sunset Margarita for $15.50. This drink is Teremana Blanco Tequila, Passion Fruit Syrup, Bol’s Triple Sec 30 proof Liqueur, with Lime and Orange Juices.
We didn’t get too strong of a tequila flavor here, instead, the passion fruit syrup was the most prominent. The lime and orange juices help give this a bit of a tart bite which helps cut down on the sweetness of the passion fruit and triple sec.

Flavors From Fire
Starting off with one of this year’s NEW items, the Chimichurri Marinated Skirt Steak Taco is made with crushed avocado, grilled corn salsa, pickled red onions, queso fresco, and cilantro-lime cream for $6.50.
The other new snack here is Spiced Chocolate Tart with BBQ potato chip crust, salted whisky-caramel, and smoked sea salt for $4.75.
The Smoked Corned Beef with house-made potato chips, cheese curds, pickled onions, and beer-cheese fondue for $6.50 is an old favorite that rarely disappoints. We always loved how that salty beef pairs with the creamy cheese, plus the pickled onion just adds an extra dimension of flavor.
Also returning is the The Impossible Burger Slider with wasabi cream and spicy Asian slaw on a sesame seed bun for $6, although this was found at the Earth Eats food booth at last year’s festival.
All the drinks here are returning from previous years and include the Saugatuck Brewing Company Bonfire Beer which is $5.50 for a 6oz ($9.50 for a 12oz) and the Four Virtues Bourbon Barrel Zinfandel which is $6.50. The Swine Brine featuring Jim Beam Bourbon for $11 is also returning, but we had to try it again because it’s such a unique drink.
The Impossible Slider and the Corned Beef are still some festival favorites that we’ll come back for again and again, and we really enjoyed that Chocolate Tart — try it if you’re a fan of spice.

Greece
First up, we grabbed the Spanakopita, which is a savory pastry with a filling of spinach and cheese. This is priced at $4.75. this year our team member who tried it felt like it was…fine. But, sadly, they shared that it would likely be the last item at this booth they’d get if they had to visit this booth again.
Then, we had the Griddled Cheese with pistachios and honey, priced at $5. This year, we found the cheese (which was goat cheese, by the way) to be quite rich, which can be good depending on what you like. The honey paired really well with the cheese, and the pistachios gave it a great crunch and nutty flavor that helped to bring out the cheese even more.
Next is the returning Lamb Gyro with shaved lettuce, tomatoes, red onion, and tzatziki on warm flatbread. It is priced at $6.75. It wasn’t quite as smothered in the tzatziki sauce as last year though. Instead, it felt like the sauce was mostly mixed in with the lettuce on top.
Our last dish (and the only NEW item on the list this year) is the Plant-based IMPOSSIBLE Moussaka. Moussaka is traditionally a sort of Greek lasagna dish made with eggplant and a meat sauce. We actually REALLY liked this new addition to the Festival booth! It was heavy, rich, and felt like a mini meal.
In terms of drinks on this menu, we got The Wine Flight, which comes with small glasses of each of the wines on the menu, which are the Mylonas Winery Assyrtiko White Wine ($6.50 on its own), Skouras ‘Zoe’ Rosé ($6 on its own), and the Kir-Yianni Naoussa Xinomavro Dry Red ($6.50 on its own). The wine flight is $7.50.
Overall, there were some solid picks at this booth, with some little things in certain dishes that could have been better. The Moussaka was filling, comforting, and had ingredients that really blended together well. The Lamb Gyro was good but we could have more sauce.

Flavors of America
First up, we grabbed the Italian Hot Beef Sandwich with Shaved Beef, Spicy Giardiniera, and Au Jus on a French Roll for $6.25. We’ll admit that we almost dreaded eating this because it seemed like a heavy meal for a hot summer day in Florida. BUT, y’all, it was lighter than we expected, but also juicy, hearty, and a little herbaceous.
Next, we grabbed the Cioppino, which is a Seafood Stew with Saffron-infused Tomato-Fennel Broth and Sourdough Crostini for $7.50. This is another new item. The overall flavor here leans on the rich robust tomatoeness (yes, we just made that word up). We expected it to taste more floral, so don’t let that turn you off if you’re worried about it.
Last but not least for the new items, we grabbed the Chilaquiles, which are Corn Tortilla Chips tossed in Salsa Verde with Ranchero Chicken, Queso Fresco, Cilantro-Lime Crema and a Soft-Poached Egg. We grabbed these for $6.75. Okay, so this surprised us here, too, because the flavors were way milder than we expected.
The Freshly Baked Carrot Cake with Cream Cheese Icing is $4.50. This tasted more like a nutty spice cake than a carrot cake, but we’re not complaining. It’s very dense, but not dry, but the icing does harden and breaks up when you stick a fork into it — but don’t worry, it still melts on your tongue.
In terms of drinks on this menu, we got the Beer Flight for $10. This includes the Rogue Dreamland American Lager, the Goose Island Beer Co. Neon Beer Hug, and the Left Hand Brewing Sawtooth Amber Ale.

France
First up, we grabbed Beignet aux Trois Fromages. This is a Warm Beignet filled with Three Cheese Blend for $6.95. This year we pretty much felt the same as we did last year — it was soupy, and not like a cheese pastry we’re used to where it’s a bit more solid. Overall though, the flavor with this dish is good — it’s hard to beat bread, butter, and cheesy goodness all in a warm little package. We just wish it wasn’t so liquidy and instead had a firmer cheese situation going on inside.
Next, we grabbed Croissant aux Escargots — Escargot Croissant with Garlic and Parsley for $7.50. This dish is full of flavor — the garlic and parsley on top is such a great combination while the croissant itself is buttery and flaky. We only had two snails inside ours, which meant that there was more of the delicious garlic, parsley, and croissant.
Then, we grabbed Boeuf Bourguignon, Pomme Dauphine: Braised Short Ribs in Cabernet with Puffed Potatoes for $7.75. We really enjoyed the pearl onions, and the pomme dauphine was basically just a few tater tots.
Finally, we grabbed Crème Brûlée Vanille à la Confiture de Fraises: Vanilla Crème Brûlée with House-Made Strawberry Jam for $5.95. The strawberry jam inside this dessert is incredible and was probably our favorite part. It’s extremely fresh, light, and sweet, and makes for a refreshing dessert in the middle of a hot EPCOT day.
We also got the Parisian Cosmo Slush made with Vodka, Grey Goose Le Citron Vodka, Grand Marnier, and cranberry juice for $14.95. If you like cranberry martinis, this might just be the drink for you!
We had to give you a closer look at the Parisian Cosmo Slush from France because it’s so pretty! 🍸 It includes Vodka, Grey Goose Le Citron Vodka, Grand Marnier, and cranberry juice. 🇫🇷 pic.twitter.com/CMesedeNSB
— Disney Food Blog (@DisneyFoodBlog) July 27, 2023
There is also a Strawberry Rose Mimosa with Pol Remy Sparkling Wine, orange juice, and Monin Strawberry Rose for $9.25. We really have enjoyed this drink in the past. We’ve loved the strawberry flavor mostly, and were happy to discover this wasn’t one of those super sweet drinks.
Finally, there are two new wines you can get at the booth. A Merlot-Cabernet Sauvignon Blend for $5.75 and a Chardonnay for $5.50.

Coastal Eats
First up, we grabbed the Lump Crab Cake with Aïoli and Vinegar Slaw. This is a returning menu item, though this year, the description is a little different! It was really nice, very flavorful, and we loved that you could taste the herbs in it. It was on the saltier side, which we prefer when it comes to seafood.
We also ordered the Oysters Rockefeller — another returning item we’ve tried before — for $7.50. For baked oysters served in a theme park, this dish gets a 10/10 review from us.
In terms of drinks this year, we got the Cape Codder, which is Boyd & Blair Vodka with Cranberry, Pomegranate, and Lime. Well, it tasted just like a Vodka Cran from your local bar. It does get a few extra bonus points for being slightly more refreshing due to the lime.
The menu also features the new Wildly Brut Cuvée, from South Australia and the CORKCICLE Stemless Flute.

India
First up, we grabbed the Curry-Spiced Crispy Cheese with Mango-Curry Ketchup for $5.25. This year we thought these were a little salty but we really liked them. The highlight for us was the curry ketchup. It was tangy, sweet, and fruity with chunks of mango in it.
We also tried Potato and Pea Samosa with Coriander-Lime Cream for $5.50. This item is returning and is a plant-based item, for any of you plant-based eaters out there! We found this dish to be more on the salty side but we think it could be a contender for a Best of the Fest Plant-Based option.
Finally, we tried the Chicken Tikka Masala with Fennel-Spiced Yogurt and Naan Bread for $6.25. This item is returning and we found that you got a large portion. This year we thought this was very salty and spicy. The chicken was tender and the dish had an overall strong curry flavor.
We got the Mango Lassi (non-alcoholic) for $5. In the past, we thought this drink had a LOT of mango flavor and it’s a pretty milky consistency. It sort of reminded us of a milkshake, but a little bit lighter than a normal, rich milkshake would be.
You can also get an alcoholic version of this, Mango Lassi with Somrus Chai Cream Liqueur for $11.
The SULA Brut Tropicale Sparkling Wine is returning for $7.50. In 2021, we tried the Sula Brut Tropicale Sparkling Wine, which we found to be really fun and refreshing!
The SULA Chenin Blanc is returning this year and you can get it for $6. The Taj Mahal Premium Lager is also returning this year and you can get it for $5.50 for 6 oz or $9.50 for 12 oz.

The Fry Basket
First up, we grabbed the Adobo Yuca Fries with garlic-cilantro aïoli. Oh, and did we mention that this is a plant-based snack? It’s available for $5.50. OK, the Yucca Fries are the BEST thing at this booth. They are seriously SO good; you can’t tell the aïoli is plant-based.
We couldn’t go to The Fry Basket and NOT order the Fry Flight! The flight comes with Sea Salt and Malt Vinegar Fries, BBQ Bacon Fries with smoked aïoli, and Sweet Potato Casserole Fries with candied pecans, toasted marshmallow cream, and maple bourbon glaze.
Now, time for the NEW addition to the booth: Pickle Fries with dill ranch! Get them for $5.50. As you may have guessed, these are basically just fried pickles disguised under the name of “fries.”
Here are the NEW Pickle Fries with dill ranch at the Fry Basket! 🍟 Would you try them? pic.twitter.com/WCLfWEhDQN
— Disney Food Blog (@DisneyFoodBlog) July 27, 2023
For all you cocktail lovers, The Fry Basket is serving a returning favorite: the Salty Dog Cocktail with Boyd & Blair Potato Vodka with Grapefruit Juice, Ginger, Simple Syrup, and Lime with a Salted Rim. Last year, we enjoyed this drink and thought it was light, sweet, and tart.
This year, there’s also a new Stone Brewing Buenaveza Salt & Lime Lager from San Diego, CA.

Kenya
The Kenyan Coffee Barbecued Beef Tenderloin with Sweet Potato-Corn Mealie Pap and Kachumbari Slaw for $6.50 is gluten and wheat-allergy-friendly. This year, the beef was seasoned quite a bit, but we didn’t get a lot of the coffee flavor. In fact, we found it a bit sweet, which we didn’t expect.
The Peri-Peri Skewered Shrimp with Citrus-Flavored Couscous for $7 is also returning this year. Last year, we thought this was an exciting dish, but it’s definitely for more adventurous eaters because of the floral flavors. This year, we thought it was…well… just okay.
Only one drink is available at this booth: the 81Bay Brewing Co. Congo Pilsner, Tampa, FL and it’s $5.50 for a 6-oz. pour and $9.50 for a 12 oz. pour.

Refreshment Outpost
The main food item available here as part of the festival is the Spicy Githeri. This is a returning plant-based dish made of White Beans, Pigeon Peas, Curried BEN’S ORIGINAL™ Long Grain & Wild Rice, and Kachumbari Slaw.
Off to the Refreshment Outpost!
We got the Spicy Githeri with White Beans, Pigeon Peas, Curried BEN’S ORIGINAL™ Long Grain & Wild Rice and Kachumbari Slaw ✨ as well as the NEW Gulf Stream Brewing Co. Cloud 9 Watermelon Hibiscus Lager 🍺 pic.twitter.com/xY7CjtxQW9
— Disney Food Blog (@DisneyFoodBlog) July 27, 2023
In terms of drinks, there are 3 options and all are new. You can pick up the Gulf Stream Brewing Co. Cloud 9 Watermelon Hibiscus Lager for $11.25, Ciderboys Mango Tango Hard Cider for $11.25, or North Coast Brewing Co. PranQster Golden Ale for $11.25. We opted for the Watermelon Hibiscus Lager this time.
Note that you’ll also find DOLE Whip available here for $6.

Mexico
First up, let’s talk about the Tostada de Carnitas. The tostada is made with braised pork on a fried corn tortilla with black beans, avocado mousse, queso fresco, and chives. This is available for $7.75. The whole thing was very savory and very salty, with a good mix of creamy and crunchy textures.
Then, there’s the Taco de Costilla. This yummy-sounding taco has slow-braised beef short rib on a corn tortilla with Salsa de Chile Morita, avocado mousse, and spring onions. Get this for $8! The short rib was really tender and the avocado helped keep the taco from being dry. We preferred this over the tostada, but both items we’d order again.
The dessert for this booth is the Pastel Impossible. This snack consists of layers of Traditional Mexican Flan and tres leches with guava and Cajeta. Try this treat for $6. The tres leches was too soggy for our liking and the gelatin bottom was very gooey.
We got the Trouble in Paradise Margarita. It’s made of Ilegal Mezcal, Watermelon Liqueur, Rosé Wine, Lime Juice, and Agave with a Chili-Lime Powder Rim. It costs $12.50. This is your basic watermelon margarita, but it was nice and refreshing.
There’s also the Fly Away Margarita. This drink is made of Nocheluna Sotol, Pineapple-Ginger Juice, Chile Ancho Verde Liqueur, and Tequila with a Sweet Dried Chili Salt Rim. This will cost you $13. We thought this one had a pretty bad aftertaste!
The last beverage offered here is Mexican Craft Beer. This beer is a Tulum Artisanal Lager with citrus notes and made with Mexican Caribbean seawater. It’s $5.50 for a 6oz and $11 for a 12oz.
Unfortunately, Mexico probably isn’t ranking in our top three this go-around, although the food here is still pretty decent. It just didn’t knock our socks off the way that it has done in the past.

Ireland
First up, we grabbed the Fisherman’s Seafood Pie for $7. In previous years, we enjoyed this dish but found it very heavy. This year we found it to be savory with a nice crusted top layer, which was softer than last year’s dish.
Next, we grabbed the Roasted Irish Sausage with Colcannon Potatoes and Onion Gravy for $5.75. This is also a returning item. This sausage was nice and savory but we honestly didn’t think it was anything special. This year we felt about the same.
Finally, we ate the Warm Chocolate Pudding Cake with Irish Cream Liqueur Custard for $4.75. We LOVED this dish before — It’s so rich and chocolatey with just a hint of flavor from the booze. This year, we still felt the love for it.
In terms of drinks on this menu, we got Guinness Baileys Coffee Shake for $12. This delicious shake has made our best-of-the-fest list in the past. This year while we did enjoy it, it was a little different for us.
Also returning is the Kilkenny Irish Cream Ale, which is $5.50 (6 oz), $9.50 (12 oz), as well as the Bunratty Mead Honey Wine, which is $6.50.

Refreshment Port
First up, we grabbed the Braised Beef Poutine for $10. This is a returning item for the festival from years past and we’ve really enjoyed it before. The meat just falls apart and easily melts in your mouth. The flavor mixes so well with the cheesy, herby Boursin cheese, and when you get a crispy french fry all in one bite — it’s basically perfection.
You can also grab the Traditional Poutine French Fries for $7.50 at this booth. This is French Fries topped with Beef Gravy, Cheese Curds, and Crumbled Boursin Garlic & Fine Herbs.
Then, there’s the Florida Orange Groves Winery Sparkling Peach for $11. It’s incredibly delicate and light, which makes for a nice change from the poutine. It’s not too heavy and would make for a nice beverage to sip on a hot EPCOT day.
You can also snag the Boulevard Brewing Co. Quirk Pineapple Orange Whip Hard Seltzer for $11.25. This one is a returning menu item for the festival. Lastly, this booth offers the CORKCICLE Stemless Flute.

The Alps
First up, we grabbed the Warm Raclette Swiss Cheese with Alpine Ham, Baby Potatoes, Cornichons, and a Baguette for $5.75. The Raclette is a Food & Wine Festival classic for a reason. Hello — it’s CHEESE! This is a hot, savory snack that feels like a warm, comforting hug. It’s a great portion size; thanks to the ham, we felt nice and full after enjoying this dish.
We also got the Warm Raclette Swiss Cheese with Baby Potatoes, Cornichons, and a Baguette (which is the same as the last one, just without the ham) for $5.25.
We also grabbed the NEW plant-based Dark Chocolate Fondue with Berries, Pound Cake, and Meringues for $5.50. This booth didn’t have a dessert option last year, so it’s nice that they’ve added one for 2023.
Just….wait. 😍🤤😋 pic.twitter.com/2olJeZHiBg
— Disney Food Blog (@DisneyFoodBlog) July 27, 2023
We got the Frozen Rosé, which costs $9. If you’ve ever had Frozen Rosé before, this one tastes the same as every other Rosé drink we’ve tried before. It’s easy to drink, light, and sweet.
We also got the Stiegl Brewery Key Lime Radler from Salzburg, Austria, for $5.50. Surprisingly, although this is a Key Lime beer, it was more floral than fruity in terms of flavor.
Also on the menu at this spot is the Huber Vision Grüner Veltliner from Austria. You can get it for $6.

Funnel Cake Stand
We picked up the Candied Bacon Funnel Cake, which is a Funnel Cake topped with Vanilla Ice Cream, Candied Bacon, and Maple Syrup Drizzle for $10.50. Sounds AMAZING, right?
The funnel cake itself was delicious, per usual, but we honestly…didn’t love the bacon. Our reporter is usually a fan of maple bacon combos, but she felt it was a little too rich.
Check Out Our Full Funnel Cake Stand Review Here
Australia
First up, we tried the Grilled Sweet-and-Spicy Bush Berry Shrimp with Pepper, Onion, Snap Peas and Coconut-Chili Sauce for $6.75. It’s got a lot of berry flavors, and there’s a tiny bit of heat which adds some excitement. The snap peas on the side have an incredible snap and were surprisingly refreshing.
Next, we had the Roasted Lamb Chop with Mint Pesto and Potato Crunchies for $8.75. We found this to be super, super tasty. The lamb is super tender and our reporter who had this doesn’t even particularly like lamb.
And finally, we finished things off with something sweet — Lamington. This is a Yellow Cake with Raspberry Filling with Chocolate and Coconut for $4.50. The cake was so, so moist, and the icing isn’t super overwhelming.
You can also grab the Yalumba ‘The Y Series’ Viognier, South Australia for $6.50, or the Château Tanunda Grand Barossa Shiraz, Barossa Valley, Australia for $6.
See Our Full Australia Booth Review Here
China
We started things off with the NEW Crispy Duck Bao Bun with Hoisin Sauce for $5.25. This is one of the best bao buns we’ve had at Disney World! We absolutely loved this! Seriously, EVERYONE should go try this. Don’t walk, RUN (but don’t actually run because that’s not allowed in Disney World). We mean it!
We also tried the Pan-fried Chicken Dumplings with house-made sweet-and-spicy sauce for $8.25. Unfortunately, there’s nothing too special about these. There’s not a lot of flavor and we couldn’t really taste the sauce at all.
Finally, we tried the Dandan Noodles, which have spicy pork with Sichuan sauce, peanut butter, sesame, and green onion for $8.25. They’re creamy and they lean heavily on the peanut butter flavor, not nearly as spicy as before.
There’s one new drink at the China booth this year, the Fiery Dream. It’s made with Citrus Vodka, Triple Sec, guava nectar, and spicy hot honey syrup for $13.75. In our book, this was INCREDIBLE.
The Passion Fruit Bubble Tea is returning this year and you can get it for $7.25. In the past, we thought this drink was alright — the tea itself was light and refreshing but not overly flavorful.
Or, get the Fireworks, which is made with Jose Cuervo Gold Tequila, Citrus Vodka, orange juice, and mango syrup for $14. It’s pretty alcohol-heavy, and we definitely didn’t enjoy it as much as the Fiery Dream.
You can also grab the ByeJoe Punch made with Chinese BaiJiu Spirit, Piña Colada Mix, lychee syrup, and sparkling water for $13. This is really sweet and heavy on the coconut flavors. We think it probably needed to be blended a little more, but it’s surprisingly tropical!
And finally, there’s also the Brew Hub Lychee Foo Draft Beer, Lakeland, FL for $5.25 (6oz) or $9.75 (12oz).

Italy
First, we grabbed the Focaccia Ripiena for $9, which is made with Freshly Baked Focaccia, Beef Meatballs, Tomato Sauce, and Burrata Cheese. We love the Burrata cheese for its flavor, and we think this is a solid snack, but it’s nothing extraordinary. And if you ask us, this is more like Stracciatella — the stuff inside Burrata.
Next up, the other new savory item here, is the Cavatelli with Sweet Sausage Ragout and Crispy Applewood-Smoked Bacon for $10. This reminds us of chicken alfredo parmesan so much! We really enjoyed the creaminess of the dish with the crunchiness of the bacon on top.
Finally, we need to add dessert to the list, so we ordered the Lemon Ricotta Cheesecake with Vanilla Cream and Strawberry Compote for $8. The ricotta makes the cheesecake nice and fluffy, but the rest of the cheesecake cuts the sharpness of the ricotta down.
We decided to wash down our meal with the returning Italian Sangria for $12, which you can get with either White or Red Wine. While this drink was decent, it wasn’t super memorable.
The Italian Margarita with Tequila and Limoncello is also returning this year. In the past, it’s been one of our favorites because we always find it so refreshing (especially on those hot Florida days). We will warn you, though: this one is tart, so pucker up!
You’ll also find other returning beverages here, including Prosecco, Moscato, Chianti, and Peroni Pilsner

Germany
How were we NOT going to get the Schinkennudeln?! We just HAD to. This dish is made with Pasta Gratin with Ham, Onions, and Cheese, and is priced at $5. If you like baked mac ‘n’ cheese, we do think you’ll love this one — that could make it an easy pick for little ones too.
Who’s ready for GERMANY? 🇩🇪✨
We got the Schinkennudeln (part of Emile’s Fromage Montage 🧀), Bratwurst on a Pretzel Roll, and Apple Strudel with Vanilla Sauce to eat 😋 To drink, we got the non-alcoholic wine called Dr. Lo Alcohol-Removed Riesling as well as the beer flight! pic.twitter.com/hR4Ork8pPD
— Disney Food Blog (@DisneyFoodBlog) July 27, 2023
Next, we have the Bratwurst on a Pretzel Roll with Mustard for $6. Well, once again we really enjoyed it but it wasn’t perfect. Essentially, it was like a pretzel hot dog.
Also returning this year is the Apple Strudel with Vanilla Sauce for $4.50. This has been a big favorite of ours in the past as it was not overly sweet and has had a delightfully flaky pastry. In 2023, it impressed us once again.
In terms of drinks on this menu, we got the new beverage listed for this year, the Dr. Lo Alcohol-Removed Riesling for $6.50. Note that this is an alcohol-removed drink. We actually REALLY enjoyed this one! It might not be the first drink you’d gravitate to but we think it would really surprise you.
The other wine here is the Selbach-Oster Riesling, which is returning this year. That is priced at $6.50.
This year we also picked up the Beer Flight for $10. This comes with 3 drinks — the Gaffel Kölsch (priced on its own at 6 oz. $5.50 / 12 oz. $9.50), Weihenstephaner Festbier (priced on its own at 6 oz. $5.50 / 12 oz. $9.50), and Schöfferhofer Prickly Pear Hefeweizen (priced on its own at 6 oz. $5.50 / 12 oz. $9.50).
Overall, this booth had some good moments and some more so-so moments. See our full review below!

Japan
First up, we grabbed the Fire Taiko Roll, which is a sushi roll with spicy tuna, cucumber, and pickled Daikon Radish served with spicy sauce. This is a really nice spicy tuna that wasn’t overwhelmingly hot, and you can get it for $8.
Then we grabbed the Beef Wa-Gyu Don, which is also new this year! It’s $9.75 and is a traditional Japanese rice bowl made with American Wagyu Beef over steamed white rice, with a quail egg on top. The beef is pretty heavy and the onions are almost caramelized, which makes it a little sweet.
The one returning item this year is the Teriyaki Chicken Bun, which is a steamed bun filled with chicken, vegetables, and teriyaki sauce for $7.50. This is absolutely one of the best items at the festival, and it’s about 60% bao, 40% filling. It’s nice and meaty, but that teriyaki is sweet enough to complement the dough.
All the drinks here are new this year, but we chose the Sake Passion Cocktail. It’s $8.75. This is nice and sweet, and you can’t really even taste the sake at all. This a great alcoholic beverage for adults who don’t like the taste of alcohol. It’s passionfruit, but it reminds us heavily of mango.
If you’re not interested in this beverage, you could also get the Moon on the Water Sake for $15 or the Brew Hub Momo Amber Ale for $5.50 for 6oz ($10 for 12oz).

Spain
First up, we grabbed the Charcuterie, which is a selection of imported Spanish Meats, Cheeses, Olives, and an Herbed Serrano Vinaigrette for $6.50. The sausage has a bit of a kick to it. The olives were bitter and the meats were very briny.
Next, we got the Paella with Saffron Rice, Chorizo, and Shrimp for $6.75. Last year, we thought this dish was somewhat lacking. It didn’t do much better this year. While we liked the flavor of the rice and the sausage was very bold in flavor, the shrimp was the letdown again. They were bland and chewy — gross.
Finally, we tried the Seafood Salad with Shrimp, Bay Scallops, Mussels, Extra Virgin Olive Oil, White Balsamic Vinegar, and Smoked Paprika. This dish costs $6.25. We thought the salad was oily and rubbery again. It is visually unappealing and it was mostly bland.
ALL the drinks on this menu are new this year, so we got the Sangria Flight to taste them all! The flight comes with a 6 oz pour of each sangria for $13.
We aren’t kidding when we say we’re going all around the world for Food & Wine — to Spain we go! 🇪🇸

First, we got the Feijoada for $6.25. This is black beans with pork belly, Brazil nut pesto, and Ben’s Original long-grain white rice. Don’t get us wrong, we love pork belly, but this was not great.
Time for the Pão de Queijo, which is Brazilian cheese bread, for $5. The bread itself was soft, and we enjoyed the texture of it, even though the cheese had hardened a bit.
Both of the drinks are returning this year. You can get the Frozen Caipirinha with Cachaça for $12. The Xingu Brazilian Black Lager is also available for $5.50.

Canada
First up, we grabbed Canadian Cheddar and Bacon Soup, which is served with a pretzel roll. You can get it for $6. Although the soup is a little bit heavy (which isn’t ideal for a hot July day), we can’t resist.
Next, we got the Canadian Filet Mignon served with mushrooms, Boursin Black Truffle & Sea Salt mashed potatoes and a Boursin Black Truffle & Sea Salt whipped butter. This is one of the pricier festival eats, at $9.75. This year, they added mashed potatoes on the side of this dish, and we LOVED it.
Both of the drinks at this booth are returning from years past. The Collective Arts Brewing Audio/Visual Lager from Hamilton, Ontario, is a light and refreshing beer. You can get it for $5.50 for 6oz or $9.50 for 12oz.
Also returning is the Château des Charmes Cabernet Sauvignon from Ontario, which is available for $7.50.

Tangierine Café: Flavors of the Medina
We started off with a festival favorite at this booth: the Grilled Chermoula Chicken or Moroccan-spiced Lamb Kebabs with carrot-chickpea salad and garlic aïoli for $5.75. This time, our complaints didn’t have anything to do with the seasoning, but the texture.
The Fried Falafel Pita with Tahini Sauce for $5.50 has been a delicious vegetarian option when we’ve had this before, though last year we did think it was heavy on the sauce. For a plant-based item, it’s packed with flavor — so delicious!
Next, we tried the Stone-baked Moroccan Bread with Hummus, Chermoula, and Zhoug Dips for $5. Y’all, this bread is so light and fluffy — it doesn’t even NEED any dips. But, we tried them anyway, of course!
For dessert, we had the Pistachio Cake with Cinnamon Pastry Cream and Candied Walnuts for $4.79. The cake was fine, the candied walnuts added some crunch and were also fine, and the cinnamon pastry cream was fine, too.
A variety of ciders are returning this year, including the 3 Daughters Brewing Fig Hard Cider, which was a favorite of ours last year. This year, it was just as refreshing. We could’ve had it all in one gulp! The fig offered a very distinct taste — but it’s delicious.
The Keel Farms Raspberry Citrus Hard Cider is new, and it had a strong raspberry flavor for sure! It wasn’t overly sweet or bitter — it had a nice, balanced flavor. It was good!
Finally, you can grab the Blake’s Hard Cider Co. Peach Party Peach & Blackberry Hard Cider. We got all of these as a flight for $10.
The Fig Cocktail with white cranberry juice and fig vodka is returning yet again this year. Last year, we thought it seemed a little sweeter than we’ve experienced at past festivals. If you don’t like cranberry or fig flavors, you’ll want to skip it. Try it for yourself for $11.

Shimmering Sips
First up, we tried the only treat available to purchase here. It’s a plant-based Guava Cake with whipped cream and coconut. This is a plant-based item that costs $4.75.
We got the Mimosa Flight for $14 which comes with three mimosas.
This is the type of item that’ll REALLY turn heads. It’s one of those things that’ll sit on your table and draw the attention of all the adults around you (they may even start to ask where you got that) — so be prepared to be a bit of a mimosa star!

Joffrey’s Coffee & Tea Company
Joffrey’s Near Mission: SPACE in World Discovery
We also tried the Amaretto Iced Tea — a Sweet and Nutty Blend of Black Iced Tea and Amaretto Syrup for $6.49. This one is available with Citrónge Orange Liqueur for $14.99. We got the non-alcoholic version, though.
Joffrey’s at The American Adventure
Then, we tried the Nutty Caramel Mocha Cold Brew, which is a Sweet Blend of Caramel Mudslide Cold Brew, Caramel Syrup, Peanut Butter Syrup, and Chocolate Syrup topped with Whipped Cream and Caramel Sauce for $6.49. You can also get this one with Carolans Peanut Butter Irish Cream Liqueur for $14.99.
Joffrey’s Near Disney Traders on World Showcase Promenade
The next Joffrey’s drink we had was the Java Horchata — a Sweet Blend of Espresso and Horchata topped with Whipped Cream and Cinnamon for $6.49, or get the spirited version with Grey Goose Vodka and Kahlúa Liqueur for $14.99. This baby here was SO smooth and bold with a lot of great cinnamon flavor.
Joffrey’s Near Disney Traders Near Canada
Finally, we had the Frozen Roseberry, which is a Refreshing Blend of Frozen Lemon and Strawberry-Rose Syrup for $6.49. You can also pick up the version with Grey Goose Vodka for $14.99 (but for the sake of this review, we got the non-alcoholic version). This drink was refreshing, sweet, and tart, and PERFECT. It’s hot, y’all, and this hit the spot.
There are plenty of drinks to choose from!

Belgium
We grabbed the Beer-Braised Beef served with Smoked Gouda Mashed Potatoes for $6. Each bite was nice and juicy, so every bite was hearty and flavorful.
Next up, we got the Belgian Waffle with Warm Chocolate Ganache for $5. In years past, we’ve really enjoyed these waffles. They’re usually light and fluffy, with pretty solid (if somewhat basic) chocolate ganache on top.
Finally, we got the Belgian Waffle with Berry Compote and Whipped Cream for $5. The Berry Compote is carrying the team in this dessert; the strawberries were simply divine!
In terms of drinks on this menu, we got the beer flight for $10. This came with Brasserie D’Achouffe Houblon Chouffe IPA (New), Delirium Red Fruit Belgian Ale, and Brewery Van Steenberge Gulden Draak Tripel Ale (New).
You can also get the Belgian Chilled Coffee (non-alcoholic) for $4.75 or the Belgian Chilled Coffee featuring ChocoLat Deluxe Salted Caramel Chocolate Liqueur for $12. Both of these are returning in 2023.

Brew-Wing at the Odyssey
First up, we grabbed the Orange-Cardamom Wings for $7.50. This is a new dish in 2023, so we couldn’t wait to try it out!
Up next, we tried the IMPOSSIBLE Buffalo Chicken Tenders with plant-based blue cheese, plant-based ranch, and celery for $7.50. This is another new dish!
The last new item on the food menu is the Unnecessarily Spicy, Yet Extremely Tasty Scotch Bonnet Pepper-Curry Wings with cool cucumber yogurt for $7.50. “Extremely tasty” is in the name, so we had high hopes for this dish!
Aside from those new items, there were several returning wing dishes. We had the Peanut Butter and Jelly Sticky Wings (for $7.50) back in 2022.
We also had the Garlic-Parmesan Wings for $7.50 last year! These were DRENCHED in garlic and cheese. Although they were messy, they had a strong garlic flavor that we loved.
Of course, there are also Traditional Buffalo Wings with celery and ranch for $7.50. Last year, we thought they were simple, good, and had a nice kick. They’re pretty basic, but if you’re looking for a solid Buffalo wing dish, this won’t let you down.
But wait — there’s one more item on the menu, but it’s actually NOT wings! The Buffalo Brussels Sprouts with plant-based blue cheese and plant-based ranch for $5 are returning this year.
All of the drinks are new this year — let’s check them out! First up, we got the Frozen Fusion for $4.75. This is a non-alcoholic drink made with Twinings Pomegranate and Raspberry Herbal Tea fused with orange ice cream molecules.
p next is an…UNUSUAL drink! It’s the non-alcoholic PICKLE MILKSHAKE for $5.75. It was certainly something Dr. Honeydew and Beeker would have cooked up in a lab.
The rest of the drinks on the menu are alcoholic. We tried the Beer Flight, which comes with Sun King Brewing Caipirinha Lager, Brew Hub French Connection IPA, and 3 Daughters Brewing Old Fashion Porter for $10.
Finally, we tried the Cider Flight, which comes with Blake’s Hard Cider Co. Tropicolada Hard Cider, Bold Rock Peach Berry Hard Cider, and 3 Daughters Brewing Raspberry Lemonade Hard Cider for $10.

Activities
There’s plenty to see and do other than just eat — like Emile’s Fromage Montage which is back for this year’s festival. With this activity, you pick up a Festival Passport, which will list some of the cheesy dishes you need to buy to get a stamp. Get all the stamps, and you can win a prize!
This year, the prize was Strawberry Cheesecake Soft Serve topped with a Mini Cheesecake and Graham Cracker Crumbs in a Specialty Cup. Yes, the price is CHEESE CAKE! We just won at life!
Also returning this year is Remy’s Ratatouille Hide & Squeak. Folks of all ages can search for Remy figures that have been hidden throughout EPCOT to win a prize.
You can pick up a map with directions on how to complete the activity. The cost to participate is $9.99 for your map and stickers to keep track of our little Chef pal.
And once you’ve completed your map marking everywhere you found Remy, you can collect your prize at one of the following shops: Creations Shop, World Traveler at International Gateway, or Disney Traders!
Merchandise
Each EPCOT festival comes with its own exclusive merch, and this year is no different! We’ve already had a few sneak peeks, but we’re excited to check everything out in person. This Loungefly Backpack is probably going to go quickly…
…and we can’t get enough of these Mickey salt and pepper shakers!
Of course, you’ll find plenty of pins to choose from…
…and drinkware like this Corkcicle wine tumbler…
…and a wine glass!

Truly amazing how comprehensive this review is!!
But now I’m really hungry!
Just one teeny little comment from the start of the review…
“The waffle is soft but firm…” This threw me for a loop at first, as it’s close to “soft but hard”. I’ll take it to mean that it’s soft, but stays intact and won’t fall apart. Hope I got that right…

PS Take a couple weeks off to recover, in every sense! Doctor’s orders!

Wow! Was that your best day ever?! Awesome review!
