Better make room, because we’re getting some heavy food in Ireland.
The 2023 EPCOT Food & Wine Festival has begun, and we’ve tried LOTS of very tasty eats so far. A French fry flight, griddled cheese, and incredible oysters are only the tip of the iceberg. And now we’re heading to the Ireland Booth to check out the snacks and treats over there! Is it worth a try? Let’s find out!
Menu
Over at the Ireland Booth, you’ll find a few food and drinks. All of the items at this booth are returning from previous years.
Now that we’ve taken a look at the menu, let’s dive into the food itself!

Eats
First up, we grabbed the Fisherman’s Seafood Pie for $7. In previous years, we enjoyed this dish but found it very heavy. This year we found it to be savory with a nice crusted top layer, which was softer than last year’s dish.
It has a soft and creamy inside. We could really taste the scallops in the flavor. We did leave wanting more seasoning to this and we felt like it was a little bland.
Next, we grabbed the Roasted Irish Sausage with Colcannon Potatoes and Onion Gravy for $5.75. This is also a returning item. This sausage was nice and savory but we honestly didn’t think it was anything special. This year we felt about the same.
The potatoes were floury and the sausage was very juicy and flavorful. We found ourselves wanting it to make more of an impact on us flavor was. The onion spice even felt a little too mild to us.
Finally, we ate the Warm Chocolate Pudding Cake with Irish Cream Liqueur Custard for $4.75. We LOVED this dish before — It’s so rich and chocolatey with just a hint of flavor from the booze. This year, we still felt the love for it.
It was decadent, rich, and chocolatey. The cake itself is moist and melty, in the best way. You can taste the booze just a tad. The topping was creamy and you could taste the Bailey’s flavor.
Drinks
In terms of drinks on this menu, we got Guinness Baileys Coffee Shake for $12. This delicious shake has made our best-of-the-fest list in the past. The stout flavor with the chocolate makes this a wonderful drink, so be sure to try it out! This year while we did enjoy it, it was a little different for us.
The shake was very thin and milk-like. Our reporter found it like a grown-up’s chocolate milk. The Bailey’s has a nice aftertaste to the sweetness of the chocolate. We found this to be a little stout for the hotter months but will be nice when it’s cooler.
Also returning is the Kilkenny Irish Cream Ale, which is $5.50 (6 oz), $9.50 (12 oz), as well as the Bunratty Mead Honey Wine, which is $6.50.
OVERALL
Overall, this booth has a lot of HEAVY foods that might weigh you down, especially if you eat everything! We wouldn’t eat all of this right before you get on Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind, that’s for sure. Unfortunately, the Fisherman’s Seafood Pie and the Roasted Irish Sausage with Colcannon Potatoes and Onion Gravy left us wanting it to be more flavorful and less bland. These are fine options, but you might be left disappointed. However, you won’t regret getting the Warm Chocolate Pudding Cake with Irish Cream Liqueur Custard. This is one of our favorite dessert options at the festival. If you like chocolate and Bailey’s, you’ll like the Guinness Baileys Coffee Shake but you might want to wait until it becomes cooler outside.
That’s it for this booth, but there’s a LOT more where that came from!

Are those Ireland cups cheap disposable plastic or like reusable dishwasher safe plastic?
DFB Gigi says
Hi Stuart! The cups are plastic, but definitely not dishwasher safe.
