If you’ve been dreaming of naan and spices, this one is for you. We’re making our way through the EPCOT Food & Wine Festival booths and loving it.
The 2023 EPCOT Food & Wine Festival has officially begun, and it has a LOT to offer. We’ve already tasted some new eats at the America booth, some of our favorite cheese at the Greece booth, and a returning fan favorite at the Flavors from Fire booth. We’re on our way to the India Booth now, and we need to WARN you about this one!
Menu
Over at the India Booth, you’ll find a variety of available items. All of these items both food and drinks are returning from previous years. Of course, we were very excited to see our favorite was back, the Curry-Spiced Crispy Cheese with Mango-Curry Ketchup.
Now that we’ve taken a look at the menu, let’s dive into the food itself!
Eats
We grabbed all of the food options and a drink from India, so let’s get into it!
Hi from India! 👋 We’ve got some returning goodies here!

First up, we grabbed the Curry-Spiced Crispy Cheese with Mango-Curry Ketchup for $5.25. This was a returning item and it is also a part of Emile’s Fromage Montage. We tried these last year and they were a hit for us. This year we thought these were a little salty but we really liked them.
They are heavily breaded and have a very strong curry flavor to them. The cheese on the inside was dense similar to a mozzarella texture, but think thicker than that. The highlight for us was the curry ketchup. It was tangy, sweet, and fruity with chunks of mango in it.
We also tried Potato and Pea Samosa with Coriander-Lime Cream for $5.50. This item is returning and is a plant-based item, for any of you plant-based eaters out there! Last year we found this dish to be soggy due to its size and very spicy. This year we were surprised by the spice. The pastry dough was crispy and flaky but the inside was soft.
We thought the coriander lime cream brought a nice freshness to the dish. The peas also added a lot of flavor on the inside but we think some might find the texture too mushy. We found this dish to be more on the salty side but we think it could be a contender for a Best of the Fest Plant-Based option.
Finally, we tried the Chicken Tikka Masala with Fennel-Spiced Yogurt and Naan Bread for $6.25. This item is returning and we found that you got a large portion. This year we thought this was very salty and spicy. The chicken was tender and the dish had an overall strong curry flavor.
The fennel-spiced yogurt helped tame the spice of it, but we found ourselves wanting more of the yogurt. The naan was soft and helped make for a great way to scoop the dish. If you are a more adventurous eater, you’ll probably like this one. But this is where our WARNING comes in: it’s very heavy on the spice.
Drinks
In terms of drinks on this menu, we got Mango Lassi (non-alcoholic) for $5. In the past, we thought this drink had a LOT of mango flavor and it’s a pretty milky consistency. It sort of reminded us of a milkshake, but a little bit lighter than a normal, rich milkshake would be. This year it was one of our favorites. It’s very light for being a milk-based drink and very fruity. We found it to be really fresh and can help cool down your mouth after all that spice.
You can also get an alcoholic version of this, Mango Lassi with Somrus Chai Cream Liqueur for $11.
The SULA Brut Tropicale Sparkling Wine is returning for $7.50. In 2021, we tried the Sula Brut Tropicale Sparkling Wine, which we found to be really fun and refreshing! It was sweet but not sugary and it had a very subtle fruitiness to it. It’s perfect for eating some spicy food on a hot day!
The SULA Chenin Blanc is returning this year and you can get it for $6. The Taj Mahal Premium Lager is also returning this year and you can get it for $5.50 for 6 oz or $9.50 for 12 oz.
OVERALL
At the India booth, there are some items definitely some items that we liked. We still enjoyed the Potato and Pea Samosa and the Mango Lassi the best. We would recommend skipping the Chicken Tikka Masala unless you are into spice and a more adventurous palette. We felt like these were solid choices but keep the saltiness and spice level in mind when ordering here.
That’s it for this booth, but there’s a LOT more where that came from!
