Disney World ain’t just for kids anymore (okay, technically it’s always been for kids and adults but just stick with us here.)
In fact, the parks and hotels have become someone of a haven for folks looking to imbibe a bit and take the edge off. Of course, we’re talking about BOOZE, people, and Disney World has a lot of it. By now, you’ve probably heard of Drinking Around the World at EPCOT, but what if we told you there was another park where you could drink around the world? There is, and we’re going to take you with us!
We bet you’ve never thought about drinking around the world somewhere other than EPCOT — but you can! Disney’s Animal Kingdom is home to a few different geographical locations — both real and fictional. We’ve rounded up some iconic drinks in each land, so cheers — let’s get to drinkin’!
Night Blossom, Pongu Pongu — Pandora: World of Avatar
We’re kicking things off in Pandora – the World of AVATAR, by making our way over to Pongu Pongu. It’s here you’ll find our next favorite frozen drink, the Night Blossom. Colorfully crafted with limeade, apple, and desert pear flavors, the drink is topped off with passion fruit boba balls.
And even though this is non-alcoholic, you can ask them to spike it to make it a Rum Blossom!

Ngumu Jungle Juice, Dawa Bar — Africa
POG (or passion fruit, orange, and guava) is a juice blend that originated in Hawaii, but you’ll find it all around Disney World. One of our favorite spots to get it is Dawa Bar — because it’s spiked!
This version (called Ngumu Jungle Juice) is made with Snow Leopard Vodka, Bols Peach Schnapps and Tusker’s famous Jungle Juice. Fair warning though, this one goes down almost too easily — so drink at your own risk.

African Margarita, Dawa Bar — Africa
The African Margarita at Dawa Bar deviates from a traditional margarita thanks to the addition of Van der Hum —a tangerine liqueur from South Africa.
That hint of tangerine citrus brightens up an already lime-heavy drink.

Yak Attack, Yak & Yeti — Asia
We’ve always been fond of Yak and Yeti Restaurant and Local Food Cafes at Disney’s Animal Kingdom. Aside from having a cool name, Yak Attack is made with Mango Daiquiri, Don Q Cristal, and Rum and Wildberry Flavors. It sounds like a taste of summer, doesn’t it?
We’re going to say it’s a very berry-forward flavored drink, although you can still taste the rum.

Khumbu Icefall, Thirsty River Bar — Asia
The trek over to Asia, or the wobbly-legged walk back after seeing a Yeti, is the best time to try this next frozen favorite at the Thirsty River Bar and Trek Snacks. The Khumbu Icefall brings the fruity freshness of raspberry and coconut puree together with Cruzan Guava Rum.
This is a seriously refreshing drink that has SO much fruity flavor. It will give you just the courage — and the cooldown — to continue on to your Everest ascent.
BRAIN FREEZE ALERT! Our FAVORITE Frozen Drinks Around Disney World!
Himalayan Ghost, Thirsty River Bar — Asia
Sticking to Asia, but moving over to Thirsty River Bar, we’re grabbing the Himalayan Ghost! This fruity drink is made with Snow Leopard Vodka, Guava and Minute Maid Premium Lemonade.
There are not many ingredients to this drink, but the taste is beyond smooth and effective. It tastes like a mix of fruit punch, and lemonade mixed together well so you can’t really even taste the vodka. It’s definitely a bit on the sweeter side, so keep that in mind if you’re looking for something less sugar-heavy.
Old Elephant Foot IPA, TriloBites — DinoLand U.S.A.
And of course, it wouldn’t be a trip around Animal Kingdom without a stop at DinoLand, U.S.A. — and more specifically, TriloBites! For the beer drinkers out there, grab the Tampa Bay Brewing Company Old Elephant Foot IPA. This one is Animal Kingdom-specific, so you won’t find it in other spots around Disney World. It smells like sweet, like citrusy hops. This IPA is very smooth. It’s a light to medium-body hopped beer. A sweet citrus flavor is what you taste first followed by a slight bitterness at the end of your sip. This is a good walking around and drinking beer — perfect for the summer and walking around the parks.
Remember to stay hydrated when you’re drinking around the world! Our rule of thumb is a cup of water for every drink we have. Trust us, the alternative is not fun and can easily ruin your day.
