Excuse us as we try not to start this post with “Welcome, Foolish Mortals,” but we simply can’t help ourselves. Haunted Mansion stuff is EVERYWHERE right now, and it’s got us ready for spooky season.
The Haunted Mansion movie just debuted in movie theaters. To celebrate the new film, a TON of new Haunted Mansion merchandise is popping up all over the place. PLUS, we’ve got Haunted Mansion treats in the parks (and yes, we have already tried the spooky Madame Leota Crisped Rice Treat). Well, get ready for MORE snacks because we’ve got two more to tell you about in Disney World, and here’s a teaser: we would only make room for one more of these…
So first up, we’ve got Ghoulish Delight Beignets. Yep, Mickey Beignets just got a Haunted Mansion upgrade. You get Three Mickey-shaped Beignets dusted with Cookies ‘n Cream Powdered Sugar and a ghoulish Marshmallow Crème Drizzle for $7.49. But how does this spooky Mickey beignet makeover taste?
We’ll start by saying that because these are Mickey beignets, they already get a gold star in our book. That warm, airy dough combined with powdered sugar pretty much always makes us happy. But these look SO cool with the grayish-white powder and purple icing, with the white marshmallow cream sauce on top. They give us that old decrepit mansion feel and make us ready for Halloween RIGHT NOW.
Oh, and the cookies and cream powder adds a nice sweet touch of flavor, and the marshmallow creme just makes our favorite beignets EVEN BETTER. You get three Mickey-shaped beignets.
The only bad news about these beignets is that if you’re not staying at Disney’s Port Orleans — French Quarter Resort, you might have to make a special trip over to the hotel to get these beignets. They’re available at Scat Cat’s Club — Cafe. Honestly, though, we’d travel there again just for spooky beignets.
Okay, well, we have room for one more Haunted Mansion treat (sorry, we can’t help it), but as we previously teased, this one wasn’t as ghoulishly delightful. We decided to check out the Haunted Mansion Peanut Butter and Jelly Pop for $5.49, and well, we’ll just tell you what we think about it.
This is a Layered push pop of peanut butter, grape jelly, and crumble pieces topped with chopped peanuts. We thought that the presentation of the treat is cute, and after you get past the first crunchy layer, the peanut butter is smooth, but the jelly tasted like a spread you get at the grocery store, and it wasn’t anything special.
Overall, we thought this treat was pretty basic. It’s not terrible, but we’ve seen better pops in Disney World with inventive layers and decorations like the Stretching Room Portrait Pops. It’s cute, but it also looks like it was a little thrown together. Disney, we know you can do better. We’ll also warn you that this treat can get messy, so have napkins handy. Who knows, maybe this treat will improve over time! It’s available at Sleepy Hollow Refreshments in Magic Kingdom if you’re interested.

We took our two Disney granddaughters yesterday to see the movie. They are 9 and 12 and absolutely loved it! They especially loved ALL of the Easter eggs sprinkled throughout! We are all going in December and they are excited the Hatbox ghost will be at the Haunted Mansion when we go to the Very Merry Christmas Party!!
