Ever look at someone and think to yourself, “What’s their story?” We know we’re not the only ones; Disney made a whole movie dedicated to what goes on inside our heads!

During a recent trip to EPCOT, we passed by a teeeeny tiny little village full of people with all sorts of backstories and lives we can only view from a giant’s perspective. If you’re in the mood for a laugh on this fine afternoon, you’ve come to the right place.
Over in the Germany pavilion in the EPCOT World Showcase, there’s a miniature village full of tiny little guests. They’re out there living their lives, riding on trains, and even participating in their own little EPCOT Food and Wine Festival. Oh, to be a tiny German figure living in a tiny German village!

At times, we find ourselves towering about this little village and asking ourselves, “What if we’re living in a miniature village and there are giants watching us go about our days?” Pretty meta, huh?

During our EPCOT visit, we noticed this woman sitting on the sidewalk with her eyes on the skies. Who is she? What is she looking at? Is it aliens? Are WE the aliens? Why does she look so disheveled; has she had a long night out? Why is she sitting outside what looks like a sketchy factory that is surely committing several OSHA violations inside? Who is that strange man next to her?! We have so many questions.

This village is full of mystery. Look — this scientist guy blew the roof off his little station! What happened here? Clearly, this is not the sleepy little village it may appear to be at first glance.

Admittedly, we have a slight obsession with miniature displays in Disney World. Next time you visit a gift shop, check out the nuiMOs displays; they’re filled with hilarious scenes!

Love this story! My family loves the miniatures as well. Those little guys know how to party!! We just came back from Legoland and had a blast in their Mini land! It’s cool to see what has changed or added to the scenes. We really love the light up futuristic mini land that’s shown in the People Mover ride as well.
It’s about time they added some people to the village! The more the better, I say. The village and trains are charming on their own, but what’s a village without village people? Thank you for the photos!
