Disney World can be a fun and magical place, but there are some things that make us cringe.

Whether that’s something that looks gross (like some of the new Halloween snacks that were announced) or because one ride posts a multi-hour wait time, cringe-worthy things are all around. This week, that cringe-y thing is one of the most popular rides in Disney World — Tower of Terror.

No, nothing is wrong with Tower of Terror itself. And it’s not even the highest wait time in Disney’s Hollywood Studios. But, it had a HUGE jump in its wait times since last week that left us shocked!

Tower of Terror had a 58-minute average wait time last week, and this week the average hopped up to 72 minutes. That’s an increase of 14 minutes on average! While other ride wait times also went up this week, this was the biggest increase by far.

Take a look at all of this week’s average wait times below to find out what you can expect on your next visit to the parks.

Magic Kingdom

Starting in Magic Kingdom, Seven Dwarfs Mine Train had the longest average wait time of 88 minutes. Last week the average wait time was 83 minutes, so the time has increased a little bit this week.

Next, Peter Pan’s Flight averaged 69 minutes, Space Mountain averaged 64 minutes, and Jungle Cruise averaged 49 minutes. After that, average wait times had Big Thunder Mountain Railroad and Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin at 41 minutes, Haunted Mansion at 44 minutes, Pirates of the Caribbean at 32 minutes, The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh and Astro Orbiter at 33 minutes, and Enchanted Tales with Belle averaged 31 minutes.

After that, “it’s a small world” averaged 25 minutes, Tomorrowland Speedway averaged 24 minutes, The Barnstormer featuring the Great Goofini averaged 20 minutes, Magic Carpets of Aladdin averaged 18 minutes, Under the Sea – Journey of the Little Mermaid and Dumbo the Flying Elephant averaged 17 minutes, and Mickey’s PhilharMagic averaged 15 minutes.

Next, Tomorrowland Transit Authority PeopleMover averaged 14 minutes, Mad Tea Party averaged 11 minutes, and Prince Charming Regal Carrousel averaged 9 minutes. The Enchanted Tiki Room, Carousel of Progress, the Swiss Family Robinson Treehouse, and the Liberty Square Riverboat all averaged 5 minutes. 

The Hall of Presidents, Country Bear Jamboree, and Tom Sawyer Island averaged no wait. Reminder: TRON Lightcycle / Run does not have a posted wait time as it only uses a Virtual Queue or Individual Lightning Lane.

4 Essential Magic Kingdom Meals

EPCOT

Heading over to EPCOT, Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure had an average wait time of 61 minutes — this is an increase from last week’s 57-minute average. Frozen Ever After’s wait time stayed the same as last week with 59 minutes.

Test Track is another high average wait time in the parks at 60 minutes. Next up is Soarin’ at 33 minutes, Mission: SPACE at 21 minutes, Turtle Talk with Crush at 16 minutes, and Spaceship Earth at 15 minutes.

Then, there is Journey into Imagination at 10 minutes, The Seas with Nemo and Friends at 9 minutes, Gran Fiesta Tour at 8 minutes, and Living with the Land at 7 minutes.

Awesome Planet, Beauty and the Beast Sing-Along, Disney and Pixar Short Film Festival, Impressions de France, and Reflections of China had no wait times this week. Reminder: Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind does not have a posted wait time as it only uses a Virtual Queue or Individual Lightning Lane.

Hollywood Studios

Over in Hollywood Studios, Rise of the Resistance saw a slight increase from 78 minutes to 80 minutes this week. Slinky Dog Dash actually saw an increase to a 90-minute average making it the longest wait time in the park.

Other wait times in the park include Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster at 79 minutes, Tower of Terror at 72 minutes, Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run at 67 minutes, Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway at 61 minutes, and Toy Story Mania at 60 minutes.

After that, Alien Swirling Saucers averaged 33 minutes, Walt Disney Presents averaged 16 minutes, Star Tours – The Adventures Continue averaged 16 minutes, Lightning McQueen’s Racing Academy averaged 13 minutes, and Muppet*Vision 3D averaged 10 minutes.

If You Can Only Eat at ONE Hollywood Studios Restaurant — Let It Be THIS One

Animal Kingdom

And last but not least, let’s talk about Animal Kingdom! Avatar Flight of Passage still had the longest average wait time this park this week with 104 minutes. Last week, the ride had a 97-minute average, so this is yet another increase at the Avatar-themed attraction.

Following that, Na’vi River Journey at 68 minutes, Kali River Rapids at 45 minutes, Expedition Everest at 35 minutes, DINOSAUR at 34 minutes, and Kilimanjaro Safaris at 33 minutes.

It’s Tough to Be a Bug averaged 10 minutes and TriceraTop Spin averaged 8 minutes. Both The Boneyard and Gorilla Falls Exploration Trail averaged no wait time.
