Disney World is super magical… until it’s not.
The good news is, the Cast Members do a great job of hiding the not-so-magical things from us Disney World visitors. It’s showbiz, baby! So, the Cast Members have a super cool secret code language to communicate with each other so that they can talk about happenings in the area without attracting unwanted attention or chaos. We have several former Cast Members on the team, and we all have some Cast Member besties in our life, so we love to talk about all the code words that are used in the parks. In the past, we’ve talked about Code Vs, Code 101s, and even Code As. Today, we have another code word to share!
Today, we’re here to chat about the infamous Code H. “H” stands for “honey.” Ya know who likes honey?
(POO)H likes honey. Yep, a Code H means that someone pooped. This could mean that someone had an accident on a ride, didn’t make it to the toilet but made it to the stall, or it could even mean that someone threw a dirty diaper into a ride scene. (Yes, that unfortunately does happen.)
If a Code H happens, custodial comes in and does a special clean-up routine. Technically, feces is a biohazard, so they’ve gotta get it cleaned up pronto.
While sometimes Code H scenarios are preventable and slightly annoying — like someone carelessly tossing a horrifically dirty diaper into the endless hallway scene of the Haunted Mansion — some Code H scenarios are a result of anxious children, guests living with disabilities, and even just, well, people having accidents on rides. It’s nothing shameful, and it’s important to remember that if you witness a Code H situation.
If you hear Cast Members talking about a Code H, it’s probably best that you just leave the ride or area and go do something else. This makes it much easier for everyone involved!

James says
Probably 7 or 8 years ago I was waiting in line at The Haunted Mansion, and I heard, Protein Spill near the library doorway. I was told that was for someone who threw up. I never saw the issue, and I was already inside the mansion.
