Few things in Disney World attract as much fervor as the iconic popcorn bucket.
These salty snack vessels can be super popular and guests will often wait in long lines to get them — remember how the Figment Popcorn Bucket broke the internet last year? Today, we’re rounding up all of the new popcorn buckets Disney has released in Disney World in 2023.
Festival of the Arts Figment Popcorn Bucket
Okay, so this one isn’t exactly new — we did see this bucket in 2022 for the Festival of the Arts. But it was so popular, Disney had to bring it back, and this time it had a new strap for EPCOT’s 40th Anniversary!
They had to start the year off with a banger, right? This newer version of the popcorn bucket debuted in January with a new way to get it — Mobile Order. No waiting in long lines this year, but we did see it sell out from time to time. Disney definitely was better prepared for the demand this time around, however, because it was still available at the end of the festival.
Disney100 Popcorn Bucket
In February, the 100th Anniversary of the Walt Disney Company made its way over to the east coast in popcorn form. We saw the first 100th Anniversary Popcorn Bucket pop up across the parks, featuring Mickey, Minnie, Daisy, Donald, Goofy, Pluto, and Tinker Bell in their shiny purple and platinum attire.
Earlier in the year, a similar version of this bucket debuted in Disneyland with Sleeping Beauty Castle, but the one in Disney World represented the east coast with a silhouette of Cinderella Castle alongside our favorite dapper characters.
Guardians of the Galaxy Skyliner Popcorn Bucket
In April, Disney celebrated the upcoming release of Guardians of the Galaxy, Vol. 3 with the new Guardians of the Galaxy Skyliner Popcorn Bucket in EPCOT. It featured Peter Quill, Gamora, Groot, Rocket, Yondu, and Cosmo –just like on the real Skyliner car you can ride in Disney World.
Previously, Disney released a 50th Anniversary version of this Skyliner Popcorn Bucket, but the newer version is perfect for Marvel fans looking to snack in style on their way to Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind.
Pumbaa Popcorn Bucket
On Earth Day this year, Disney’s Animal Kingdom turned 25! To celebrate, the park went all out with new character meet and greets, new treats, and you guessed it — a new popcorn bucket! The Pumbaa Popcorn Bucket features an adorable strap that says “Hakuna Matata,” and people went crazy over it.
It sold out temporarily, but Disney replenished the stock and you can still find him around Disney’s Animal Kingdom — alongside the Timon Sipper.
Disney100 Premium Cinderella Popcorn Bucket
In the summer, a new 100th Anniversary popcorn bucket made its way to the east coast. While we had previously seen it in Disneyland, Disney World officially got the Disney100 Premium Cinderella Popcorn Bucket in May.
This shiny bucket featured Cinderella looking out of the side of her carriage and a strap that said “100 Years of Wonder” and “Disney100.” It drew long lines and sold out quickly, but Disney has since stocked back up and you can still find this one around Magic Kingdom.
Mickey Mouse Picnic Basket Popcorn Bucket
In May, Disney also released a fun new popcorn bucket in Disney’s Hollywood Studios. The Mickey Mouse Picnic Basket Popcorn Bucket is another one that we have seen in Disneyland previously, but on the west coast, it was served with picnic items like yogurt and granola bars instead of popcorn.
The strap is covered in icons with nods to Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway and the “Perfect Picnic” short film that serves as the ride’s pre-show.
Food and Wine Festival Mickey Mouse Picnic Basket Popcorn Bucket
Shortly after the Mickey Mouse Picnic Basket Popcorn Bucket debuted in Disney’s Hollywood Studios, a similar one made its way over to EPCOT.
The Food and Wine Festival Mickey Mouse Picnic Basket Popcorn Buckethad the same Mickey hand holding the basket, but this time it had a strap showcasing the 2023 EPCOT International Food and Wine logo!
Droid Parts Popcorn Bucket
Lastly, the Droid Parts Popcorn Bucket arrived in Disney’s Hollywood Studios in July, after previously debuting in Disneyland for their May the 4th celebrations.
We found this guy at Kat Saka’s Kettle, where you could fill him up with the popcorn flavor of your choice — including the controversial Outpost Mix!
There you have it! Eight new popcorn buckets in Disney World in 2023. As the Halloween and Christmas seasons arrive, new buckets could be on their way — so stay tuned to DFB for all the latest!

Hi, great job with the blog. My wife and I watch all the time as we prepare for Disney Trips. Do you know if any new popcorn buckets are coming for December? We are traveling on Christmas day and was hoping to pick up something new at Epcot that day. Just curious. Thanks, and keep up the good work!

8 New popcorn buckets have come to Disneyworld in 2023, and so far only 1 has come in 2024. All that while Disneyland has had 6 buckets already so far in 2024. WDW is so far off the mark with promoting popcorn buckets and not keeping up with the demand that’s out here for more. There may be more tourists in WDW /Orlando than DL but they will still buy buckets if you sell them.
