When it comes to dining, there’s a HUGE problem in EPCOT.
Okay, there are a few problems. First, picking a place to eat — EPCOT has SO many good restaurants. Do you want to have a meal in space or maybe chow down on some German food with German entertainment? But even after you make that decision, the other problem is this: some of these places are hard to get advance dining reservations. But we have a hack!
Here’s one thing you need to know about EPCOT: there is almost ALWAYS some kind of festival going on. Right now, we’re enjoying the EPCOT Food & Wine Festival. These festivals bring loads of food booths with a variety of dishes to enjoy. People literally come to EPCOT specifically to enjoy those foods.
So naturally, many of the people visiting EPCOT during a festival are going to be visiting the food booths for all their meals. What does that mean for you? Well, it means that it could be a LOT easier to get a dining reservation for one of EPCOT’s many restaurants.
Because so many folks are focused on eating festival foods, you might just score that reservation for Space 220 or get to have a nice sit-down meal at Le Cellier for lunch or dinner.
So what’s the hack? Well, the hack is visiting EPCOT during a festival and trying to make your advance dining reservations for a day the festival is going on. You also might have better luck with the Mobile Dine Walk-Up Waitlist if you wait until the day of to try to dine at one of these restaurants.
But you might ask: wait, DFB, you tell us NOT to make advance dining reservations during a festival because there’s plenty of festival food to eat. Yes, that’s usually what we say. However, if your priority is NOT checking out festival foods and being able to eat at one of EPCOT’s many table service restaurants, this hack is for you. It will depend on what your priorities are.
Or maybe you’re spending a couple of days in EPCOT during a festival: You can focus on the food booths on one day and then spend the other day dining at the EPCOT restaurants you’re interested in. Or maybe the festival food booth menus just don’t appeal to you. Maybe it’s really hot on your EPCOT day, and you want to have a nice meal in air conditioning. Whatever your reason, this is a good way to get those hard-to-get dining reservations in EPCOT.

Looking to try out Space220 next April. But we’re not interested in the menu so we plan on trying to get into the lounge to try out a drink, take in the scene and that’s it. But I’ll have my two kids with me, (7 & 17). I see kid drinks on the main menu, but can we ordered them from the lounge? I can’t find this info anywhere and I don’t want to just assume they’ll be able to order something kid friendly, since it is a lounge.
Any idea?

Hi Ashley! You can absolutely order the kid drinks, as well as soft drinks in the lounge.
