The EPCOT Food & Wine Festival kicked off last month, and there was SO much food to eat.
And eat we did, making our way around all the food booths to make sure you had our reviews of ALL the food. We even did the Cheese Crawl and got a pretty awesome prize in return. But here’s the thing: several food booths didn’t open with the festival. Now, though, two are opening TOMORROW, and they’re two of our favorites!
So get ready to eat EVEN more because there are now two new excuses to visit the EPCOT Food and Wine Festival. That first reason is the Hawaii booth, and yes, this is one booth we NEVER miss out on. Where else are we going to get to enjoy that delicious Spam Sushi — seriously, don’t knock it until you’ve tried it.
But we generally love EVERYTHING at this booth, and we’re happy to report that everything at this booth is returning from previous years. In addition to the Spam Sushi, you’ll get to nom on a Kālua Pork Slider with Sweet-and-Sour DOLE Pineapple Chutney and Spicy Mayonnaise…
…and end everything on a sweet note with a delicious Passion Fruit Cheesecake with Toasted Macadamia Nuts (which is also part of Emile’s Fromage Montage, aka the Cheese Crawl).
But it isn’t just the Hawaii booth that’s opening tomorrow. The Noodle Exchange, another of our faves, is also opening. Can someone say NOODS?!?!?! This booth only made its debut in 2021, so we’re looking forward to diving into some Shaved Beef Ramen with shiitake mushrooms, pickled carrots, and daikon radish, shaved peppers, and a soy egg in citrus-sesame broth. This sounds similar to last year’s Traditional Spicy Vietnamese Beef Pho with shaved beef, mushrooms, and Thai basil.
You’ll also be able to get an IMPOSSIBLE Pork Ramen with shiitake mushrooms, pickled carrots and daikon radish, baby bok choy, and a soy egg in savory chicken broth. The Thai Shrimp with rice noodles, shiitake mushrooms, and basil in coconut-curry broth is also returning this year.
Finally, the Tofu Ramen with shiitake mushrooms, pickled carrots and daikon radish, shaved peppers, and baby bok choy in citrus-sesame broth is similar to last year’s Tofu Pho with mushrooms and Thai basil. Y’all. We love a good ramen.
So be sure to head straight to both of these booths as of August 15th, when they’ll finally open. Of course, we’ll have to wait until September 22nd for the rest of the booths to open (Bubbles & Brine, Char & Chop, and Swirled Showcase) — those booths will be celebrating Disney’s 100th Anniversary, along with the rest of EPCOT on that date.
We’ll be visiting these booths ourselves to see if they still live up to our expectations, so check back again soon with DFB for reviews!
