We LOVE meeting characters in Disney World
Who doesn’t want to get a photo with Mickey and Minnie, after all? Who wouldn’t want to get a little goofy WITH Goofy? Who hasn’t wanted to have a chat with a Disney princess at one time or another? Sometimes, though, some of our favorite characters leave the parks, and today, we found out that a fun character has disappeared.Â
On August 20th, we went to ImageWorks inside the Imagination Pavilion at EPCOT to meet a few favorite characters. However, one character was gone. Like COMPLETELY gone. There’s a curtain over the meet and greet area and everything.
Vanellope is gone…
So who is the missing character? Well, it’s none other than Vanellope (who IS technically a Disney princess now) from the Wreck-It Ralph movies.
We’ll miss you, Vanellope!
When we asked a Cast Member about Vanellope’s disappearance, we were told that she’s not coming back for the foreseeable future because she’s gone back to the Internet to be a full-time racer (okay, points to Disney for coming up with that explanation).

So, for now, it seems Vanellope is gone. But we do know that a NEW character meet-and-greet will be coming to EPCOT soon, starring Figment. So is this where we’ll find Figment? Disney hasn’t confirmed a location for that meet-and-greet, so we don’t know for sure.

Just a heads up, though — Joy from Inside Out is still meeting at ImageWorks, so if you still want to say hello to her, you can!
Joy is still there!

Noo!! Not one of my favorite princesses! Thank goodness we got photos with her on our last visit. This is a blow to my heart. Vanellope is such an amazing character and we will miss her so much. Hopefully she will return from her joyriding trip at some point.
Love her but REALLY excited for Figment !!! It’s gotta be him that they put there !
