We’ve seen a number of permanent closures this year in Disney World. but there are also some locations that were allegedly temporarily closed — and still haven’t reopened .
Some of these indefinite restaurant closures date back several years, and that leaves us wondering if these locations will ever re-open.
If you’re heading to Disney World anytime soon, check out this list to find out if any of your favorites are on it.
Closures
Magic Kingdom
First, we have Aunt Polly’s Dockside Inn on Tom Sawyer Island. It is currently closed and no reopening date has been announced.
Aunt Polly’s Dockside Inn is usually only open seasonally on Tom Sawyer Island but has yet to open any time recently.
Another similar spot in Magic Kingdom is Tomorrowland Terrace.
In August of 2021, the restaurant advertised no more hours and has been closed ever since other than to host the Magic Kingdom Fireworks Dessert Viewing Parties.
EPCOT
Now, over in EPCOT, almost everything has reopened except for Restaurant Marrakesh. It is currently closed, and no reopening date has been announced.
The menus have been removed from outside the restaurant and at this time, no other signage has been put up, which isn’t a “good” sign.
Resorts
At the BoardWalk, the Funnel Cake Kiosk is currently closed with no reopening date announced.
This spot shows as “temporarily unavailable” on Disney’s website, but hopefully it will reopen soon!
Also at the BoardWalk, Trattoria al Forno used to have a breakfast event that they are no longer offering. Their Bon Voyage Adventure Breakfast was a character dining experience with Disney couples, including Flynn and Rapunzel, and Ariel and Prince Eric.
While Trattoria al Forno still offers breakfast, this character dining experience hasn’t returned since the 2020 pandemic park closure.
Grand Floridian
Another experience that has remained closed is the Afternoon Tea service at the Grand Floridian.
Their Garden View Tea Room was a lovely setting for a spot of tea, where guests could enjoy British tea packages while gazing out at the outdoor gardens. For the time being this tea room still remains closed.

The fact that you didn’t mention California Grill brunch is a travesty

I don’t get why Disney wouldn’t reopen 1900 Park Fare and Garden View Tea Room. They were expensive and always full. Makes no sense.
RandyC says
1900 Park Fare was an occasional treat for our family. I liked their brunches a great deal. The cheese blitzes, yum. I could do without the sneer and snarl from Lady Tremaine, but that was part of the show, LOL. I guess I never got over all she did to Cinderella.

Restaurant Marrakesh was one of the “BEST” Restaurants in Epcot and of course we would choose to Close this one and now have No Plans to re-open it ?? Where is the Logic, lose a whole section with the restaurant and the markets just to let it sit there “EMPTY” !! The quick service area and the eatery across from it couldn’t even come close to the Quality of the closed one, very Disappointing ……

Garden View Tea needs to return!

And n the tea room they used the old country roses dishes and my husband bought me place settings and all the additional pieces they make a beautiful table setting for the holidays so if anyone wants to purchase check with your local department store r go on line we wish everyone the best that life has to offer and hope all your dreams come to you and your love ones
RandyC says
I wish all these venues would open again. My daughters were asking about the Garden View Tea Room last month. Regarding the restaurant Marrakesh, doesn’t its closing have something to do with the ending of the sponsorship by the nation of Morocco?
