If you’ve been following the news the past few days, then you probably know about Hurricane Idalia.
What was previously a Tropical Storm has now become a full-fledged hurricane, expected to hit Florida’s Gulf Coast sometime Wednesday morning. Floridians and those traveling to Florida are preparing for the impact of the storm, and we’re keeping an eye on all the updates you need to know if you’ll be in the area. The latest of those updates comes from the Orlando International Airport.
The Orlando International Airport (MCO) shared a statement on Twitter on the morning of Tuesday, August 29th, noting that the airport remains open currently. Officials are monitoring the path of the storm, but they don’t currently foresee any significant impact to airport operations at this time.
Our airport is open and operational. We continue to monitor the status of Hurricane #Idalia – we do not foresee any significant impact to our operations at this time.
