We’ve warned you about unexpected ride closures and sudden weather-related transportation delays, but did you know that even STORES can close (or open) without warning? One of the most popular snack spots in Disney World is experiencing some issues that may impact your next visit to Disney Springs. Let’s take a look.
If you pass by Gideon’s Bakehouse in Disney Springs, you may notice a LONG line forming around the side of the building. Yeah, it’s THAT popular.

Well, on August 31st, Gideon’s Bakehouse shared that the bakery is temporarily closed. The announcement read, “Gideon’s at Disney Springs is temporarily closed until we can get a handle on the AC issue.” We’ll be on the lookout for additional updates as the day progresses.

As you can see, it’s pretty small inside, so without a little cool AC, it would be pretty stuffy in there — especially with all those fresh baked goods! No one wants a melted chocolate chip cookie, after all.

I live across the street from DS but when I’m up the road in Orlando I stop into their other location, 3201 Corrine Dr, Orlando, FL 32803…
with no line and get my fill. Lol
I was there on the morning if the 30th and it was hot. I said something to my husband about it being really really hot in there and a maintenance worker overheard us talking about it and said the Idalia storm took out the AC. … it was very hot in there. I would say 90 , maybe 100. I was surprised though that they still kept closing the door and not keep I open.
