Oogie Boogie and his fellow villains are BACK!
Oogie Boogie Bash — A Disneyland Halloween Party at Disney California Adventure starts tonight! At this exclusive after-hours event, you can watch bash-exclusive entertainment, trick or treat with rare characters, explore the Villains Grove maze, and even dress up in costumes. It’s a popular event that sold out FAST, and we’re attending the first night of the party to tell you all about it. Come see what the crowds look like!
While the party officially begins at 6PM, ticketed guests can enter the park as early as 3PM. Regular park guests were still around at this time, so it felt pretty busy!
Oogie Boogie Bash is completely sold out (including tonight’s party), and we can definitely tell by these crowds. The line to get into Disney California Adventure looked long, but it only took a few minutes for us to get inside.
When the party officially kicks off, regular guests will be gone and it will only be Oogie Boogie Bash guests inside the park. That should hopefully help with the crowds!
Prior to the park closing for day guests, we saw some pretty long lines for the rides and attractions. Over at the Guardians of the Galaxy – Mission: BREAKOUT! the wait was up to 60 minutes and Web Slingers was 45 minutes.
Cars Land is showing a current wait time of 75 minutes for Radiator Springs Racers
And Incredicoaster has a wait of 30 minutes, while Toy Story Mania is up to 55 minutes.
Remember, these are pre-party wait times while regular guests and Oogie Boogie Bash guests are both currently in the park.
Later in the evening, we checked wait times again and saw that they had dropped significantly. Guardians of the Galaxy was only at 45 minutes…
…Toy Story Midway Mania had a 30-minute wait, and WEB SLINGERS was only a 20 minute wait!
There were plenty of rides with 5-10 minute waits, and Radiator Springs Racers had a super low wait time of 35 minutes.
Although some of the treat trails had long lines (like the one for Yokai)…
…others were very short, like the one for Madame Mim!
Towards the end of the evening, the ride wait times dropped once again, with almost all of them below 20 minutes. However, some of the treat trail lines were still pretty long, and we waited about 30 minutes to enter the Villains Grove.
Overall, the park felt pretty empty. That’s definitely one of the biggest perks of these after-hours events!
We’ll continue to bring you updates throughout the night, so stay tuned to DFB for more!
