We’ve been bringing you all the latest news on Disney Cruise Line‘s newest ship, the Disney Treasure!
We’ve seen the inside of the new ship and heard more about the dining we can expect to see on board, but the announcements don’t stop there. Now Disney has revealed more information about the entertainment we can experience onboard!
There is so much to experience on a Disney Cruise that it can sometimes feel overwhelming. But this sneak peek can give you a heads up on what to expect so you can already start making your “must-do” list!
Planning a Disney Cruise? We’re here to help! From packing tips to insider secrets, we know ALL the secrets to help you have a successful vacation.
Sarabi
Inspired by the Pride Lands in The Lion King, Sarabi will act as a hub for family entertainment. This two-story space is where Disney says families can come together to experience game shows, cruise classics, silent discos, and more!
There will be enough entertainment to suit all age groups here. In the daytime, you’ll be able to experience family activities, while at night, the area will transform to host adult entertainment.
Grand Hall
Inside the Grand Hall, you’ll be able to experience magical effects and entertainment that will take place on an atrium stage.
Guests will be able to experience special moments around the chandelier in the atrium with special lighting, fiber optics, and live entertainment.
Walt Disney Theater
The Walt Disney Theater is where you’ll be able to catch the live shows each day aboard the ship. Disney tells us that we can expect an all-new Broadway-style show themed to Beauty and the Beast.
Further, you’ll also be able to catch the “Seize the Adventure” show that you can catch aboard some of the other DCL ships. While Disney hasn’t yet shared design details, they did tell us that we can expect it to be GORGEOUS.
Skipper Society
If you’re a fan of the Jungle Cruise, this might be the lounge for you! Skipper Society will be located just off the Grand Hall.
Here, you’ll be able to experience a combination of entertainment and bar artistry — all themed to the world-famous Jungle Cruise. Get ready for some punny cocktails! Disney tells us that Skipper Society is meant to serve as “an intimate gathering space with music, comical banter, and REALLY good drinks.”
Periscope Pub
Another cocktail lounge/bar area aboard the Treasure is Periscope Pub, which is inspired by 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea.
This experience will take you aboard the Nautilus with “seafaring artifacts and nautical finishes.” Here, you’ll be surrounded by ceiling screens with moving underwater elements and windows that look out at the ocean. There’s been a lot of talk about a famous squid that you might see floating by!
AquaMouse
The AquaMouse is a water coaster that originally appeared aboard the Disney Wish. The Disney Treasure will have the same water coaster but will debut with an all-new show to accompany the ride.
The new show, “Golden Egg,” will also eventually be available aboard the Wish. Three stories will soon be available aboard both ships so that you can experience the ride and storylines from both!
Worlds of Marvel
As far as the Marvel dining experience coming to the Disney Treasure, Disney didn’t share a whole lot of details pertaining to the all-new Treasure-exclusive dining experience that would be located at this space. However, we were able to watch a video that featured Spider-Man!
We can’t wait to learn more about this dining experience!
Character Meet-and-Greet Experiences
Of course, there will be beloved characters that you’ll be able to meet. While Disney didn’t share specifics, we can expect to see Minnie Mouse!
You’ll be able to catch these characters at a few locations, including Disney’s Oceaneer Club, which is where children ages 3-12 can play. You can also see some fan-favorite Marvel characters at Marvel Superhero Academy.
Plaza de Coco Restaurant
At this all-new Coco-themed restaurant, you’ll be able to watch live musical performances, like a mariachi band performing songs from beloved Disney movies. You’ll also be able to meet Miguel and his family here! This is the WORLD’S FIRST theatrical dining experience based on Coco!
