Want to experience a brand NEW EPCOT attraction before everyone else? You can…if you’re an Annual Passholder!
Journey of Water, Inspired by Moana is a NEW walk-through experience that is set to open this fall in EPCOT. Disney has been hosting Cast Member previews of the attraction, and we took you with us on a FULL walk-through of the entire thing. But now you could get the chance to experience it for yourself if you’re a Disney World Annual Passholder.
Disney has announced that Annual Passholders can attend a preview of Journey of Water, Inspired by Moana on the following dates: September 24th to September 29th, 2023, and October 1st to October 4th, 2023.
The previews will be available from park open to park close on those dates. To participate, you will need a valid Annual Pass and a valid EPCOT Park Pass reservation for the day of your visit/the preview you want to attend.
Again, it’s important to note that a specific Park Pass reservation for EPCOT is required to attend the preview. You will NOT be able to park hop to EPCOT to participate (so if you have a Park Pass for Magic Kingdom for a specific date and were planning to hop to EPCOT later in the afternoon, you will NOT be able to participate in a preview that day).
Also, if you were planning to visit EPCOT after 2PM, at which point Park Pass reservations are not required for Passholders (for most parks on most days), you will NOT be able to participate in a preview that day. So, be sure to get a specific Park Pass for EPCOT on the day you want to go to a preview.
To check in for the preview, you’ll head to the entrance of Journey of Water, across from Coral Reef Restaurant.
Keep in mind that Passholders do NOT need to register for the preview. But again, a Park Pass for EPCOT on the day of the preview is required to go.
Here are a few other things to keep in mind:
- A standby queue will be in place.
- An eligible, activated Annual Pass is required to attend a preview.
- You’ll have to show your Annual Pass card, Disney MagicMobile pass, MagicBand, or MagicBand+ — as well as valid photo identification — when checking in.
- Everyone in your group must be an Annual Passholder to attend the preview.
As we’ve noted above, Journey of Water is a walkthrough attraction where you’re able to interact with water and learn about the water cycle.

So I’m a Passholder with a 2yr old. Can she attend with me since she’s not of age to obtain an annual pass?
Lauren says
Both Sunday dates (9/24 and 10/1) are already full.

Hi Robin! Yes, you’ll be able to take your 2 year old in with you.

Why does this need a preview? Isn’t it just a walk through? Take the scaffolding down and open the space.
Linda Rudi says
Will there be any ability to see 10/9-10/13?
