While the hotel buses, Monorail, boats, and Skyliner are all great ways to get to EPCOT, sometimes the only option for folks is ride share.
If you’re planning to utilize ride share and visit EPCOT soon, then you’ll want to keep reading! There’s a NEW ride share area at the park entrance, and it might trip you up if you’re not familiar with it.
Previously, folks could be dropped off or picked up close to entrance — at the front of the parking lot. Now, the designated area has moved. It’s now located at a freshly-paved area that we thought was going to serve as a tram stop.
Now, we know that it’s a ride share area! There are 10 different drop off and pick up “slots” that make it easy for drivers to communicate where they are.
It also forms a sort of loop with two different lanes so that drivers aren’t dealing with unnecessary traffic.
It’s only about a 4-minute walk from the front park entrance. There’s a special area where pedestrians can safely walk to the front of the park.
Here’s a shot of where it is relative to park entrance!
What do you think? Do you think the ride share process is made easier by this addition? We sure do! We’ll continue to keep you updated with more Disney news, so follow along so that you’re always in the loop.

This is a horrible change and one that has really hurt transportation options at WDW big time. It has slowly been taking place over the last 2-3 years; Disney first cut Mears taxi contracts, drivers only wait at certain hotels now, you’ve gotta call and wait 30-45 min sometimes for a simple yellow taxi! That’s absurd. Then WDW started pushing ride share drop off points further and further from entrances. First no drops at MK and forced across the lagoon. Then Disney Springs, HS, now Epcot. They’ve destroyed ride shade and yellow taxi services. Forcing everyone to the horrible bus service.
