Would you live in a house that was built by Disney?
Believe it or not, you actually can. Storyliving by Disney’s Cotino is a master-planned community that will bring some of the joys of the parks right into the neighborhood with specially designed spaces — and we just got another look and more details about what we can expect!
Storyliving by Disney has shared a new look at what we can expect from Cotino, the new master-planned community coming to California’s Coachella Valley. We’ve seen some of the concept art before, but now we have a better idea of what this entire community will look like.
This first “chapter” of the new community will feature more than 300 homes, one-third of which will be designated for ages 55 and up.
Cotino will feature a range of homes and lot sizes that reflect the history of the surrounding Palm Springs area under the creative image of Imagineering. There will be three different single-family home collections: The Cottage Collection will be built on home sites approximately 50 feet wide; the Grand Collection on home sites approximately 60 and 70 feet wide; and the Estate Collection on home sites approximately 90, 120, and 135 feet wide.
The initial phase will be built on Gerald Ford Drive and Bob Hope Drive in Rancho Mirage. Those who are 55+ can enjoy an area dedicated to them known as Longtable Park residences, seen below. The name is “inspired by Walt Disney and the experiences that originally drew him to the Coachella Valley.”
Pre-sales appointments are expected to start later this year, and you’ll be able to learn more about the parks coming to the neighborhood. Laughing Place Ranch will be an equestrian-themed dog park where “residents of all ages and their four-legged friends can gather.”
The overall layout of the community will “promote connectivity with picturesque promenades where residents can spend time together while taking in stunning views of Cotino Bay, which will feature the clearest turquoise waters with Crystal Lagoons technology, and the surrounding mountains.”
Along Cotino Bay, there will be a “lively town center” that features “sensational shopping and delectable dining.” If this sounds like a place you want to live, you can visit the Storyliving by Disney website to learn more.
We’ll be keeping an eye on more updates from this community and other Disney news, so stay tuned to DFB for the latest!

If anything like the Florida “Disney” community, most of the US population will be priced out.
