Disney Cruises have a lot to offer, like letting you experience the magic of Disney while sailing around to different locations!
You can find exclusive entertainment, special themed days at sea, holiday celebrations, attractions, and more aboard all of the Disney ships, but let’s explore EVERYTHING the Disney Wonder has to offer!
Disney Wonder
The Disney Wonder, the sister ship to the Disney Magic, first set sail in 1999.
The Disney Wonder can carry up to 2,713 passengers (in 875 staterooms) with 11 decks. It is 984 feet long and 171.5 feet high. It has an Art Deco-inspired lobby atrium with colorful carpets and a chandelier that mimics the plumage of a peacock, and the centerpiece of it all is the bronze statue of a princess of the sea, Ariel the little mermaid beckoning you to experience the Golden Age of ocean travel.
Disney Wonder Dining Options
All of the Disney Cruise ships have Rotational Dining, meaning guests on board rotate between three main table service restaurants for dinner during their cruise. The wait staff also rotates with the restaurants! Guests do not HAVE to eat at the restaurants included in Rotational Dining, but other dinner spots not included in the rotation will cost you extra money.
Let’s break down all of the restaurants included in Rotational Dining on the Disney Wonder!
Triton’s
Diners are welcomed into the underwater world of The Little Mermaid inside this elegant restaurant named after King Triton, Ariel’s father. Enjoy classic American fare for breakfast and lunch and continental cuisine with a French flair for dinner.
Just behind the atrium statue of Ariel sits the restaurant named for her father. Dive into a grand ballroom that reflects the luxuriousness of a sea palace with a dazzling Art Deco theme. The entire space is brimming with ornate chandeliers, stained glass, sea-inspired architectural flourishes, and a sweeping mural of Ariel and her father. Triton’s offers a regal atmosphere and elegant, yet approachable dinner cuisine.
Tiana’s Place
Tiana’s Place is inspired by The Princess and the Frog with live jazz music and a festive atmosphere.
The menu includes Louisiana-inspired Creole and Cajun eats. You can get shrimp jambalaya, gumbo, Cajun-spiced seabass, among other entrées.
Animator’s Palate
The Animator’s Palate restaurant is, obviously, all about Disney animation. The dining room shows hand-drawn designs from artists and guests can even watch an “innovative dinner show that celebrates the art of storytelling” while they eat.
The food here is a fusion of eats from the Pacific Islands, Asia, and California. For appetizers, you can choose from things like smoked salmon tartare, sliced Serrano ham, black truffle pasta purseittes, and a tomato tarte, or you could get things like creamy butternut squash soup, baked potato and cheddar cheese soup, arugula leaves, or a chicken and walnut salad.
And, for dessert, you can get things like their signature lemon icebox pie, or the crunchy walnut cake, chocolate fudge cheesecake, cookies ‘n cream sundae, or warm sticky date pudding. Also, if you’re 21 or over, you can pay an extra fee to pair your entrée with a wine from the extensive wine list that’s available.

Palo
Now, let’s talk about Palo. This is an adults-only table service restaurant with a semi-formal dress code. This is one of the spots that isn’t included in the price of your cruise, so you can eat here for an extra cost. Brunch or dinner is $45 per person.
Brunch includes things like eggs, soups, waffles and pancakes, pizzas, and entrees. Many of these feature an Italian flair, so you’ll find things on the dinner menu like Lasagna Bolognese and Calzones, along with steak, fish, pasta, and more. Entrées available for dinner include Italian dishes like butternut agnolotti, seared sea scallops on celery root puree, and piquant dover sole (which is fileted table side).

As for lounges and bars, there are several for you to check out on the ship! The adults-only lounges include Azure, inspired by the deep blue gems of the ocean, Cadillac Lounge, inspired by retro Hollywood; Crown & Fin Pub, inspired by British pubs and taverns, the French Quarter Lounge, with a flair of New Orleans near Tiana’s, Signals, which is up on one of the top decks near the adult pool, and Cove Café, which is a specialty coffee cafe.
French Quarter Lounge (adults only after nightfall): This spot is themed after the French Quarter in New Orleans, with wrought iron details and imagery from Disney’s Princess and the Frog. You can listen to live music while you snack on beignets and drink specialty beverages at this location.
Crown & Fin Pub (adults only after nightfall): The Crown & Fin looks like a classic British pub with leather furniture and a red tin ceiling. There are nods to Disney movies set in England like Peter Pan and 101 Dalmatians. The bar has lager and ale, including more than 14 beers on tap. You can also choose a glass of wine or a cocktail.
Cadillac Lounge (adults only after nightfall): The Cadillac Lounge reminds us of the swanky 1950s cars, with chrome accents and vinyl-covered barstools. This spot has a live piano performer and guest vocalists. You can order from a full bar here, with selections of beer, cocktails, champagne, and wine.
Azure (adults only after nightfall): This lounge has a subtle ocean theme, with decor that’s patterned after shells, coral, and other ocean life. This spot serves beer, wine, and cocktails. Some of their recommendations include the Azure (Kissui vodka, sparkling MIO sake, Patrón Citrónge, lime juice, guava juice) and Elderbubble (Absolut Raspberri, St-Germain Elderflower liqueur and Moët & Chandon Imperial).
Other Lounges: Aside from these lounges, you can also find the Cove Café, D Lounge, and Signals lounges.
D Lounge (also found on the Disney Wonder, Dream, and Fantasy): D Lounge is a colorful space with family-friendly entertainment like karaoke and trivia. There’s a full bar with wine and cocktail options as well as nonalcoholic drinks like soda and fruit smoothies.
Cove Café: This lounge is meant to exude “laid-back sophistication” and “tropical bliss.” It serves specialty drinks, coffee, and tea during the day. You can find cocktails, wine, and light bites here in the evenings.
Signals: This bar is located in the Quiet Cove, which means no kids are allowed in the area.
It serves mixed drinks and cocktails.

Disney Wonder Entertainment
Onboard a Disney ship, you’ll find Disney characters roaming around and meeting with guests. Generally, these character meet-and-greets or photo-ops are included, though you may need to register in advance for some of the more unique character experiences, so just be aware of that.
Disney Cruise Line also offers free movies in multiple spots – out on the funnel vision screen near the pools, as well as in the movie theater on the ship. The movie theater even offers runs of new movies that are currently out in theaters.
There are also Broadway-style shows in the theater onboard the ship. Typically these large productions are offered more than once night. Each ship has its own unique performances. On the Disney Wonder, guests can see Disney’s Dreams – An Enchanted Classic, The Golden Mickeys, and Frozen, A Musical Spectacular.
And the ship offers more entertainment beyond just shows and characters! Check out karaoke nights, nighttime shows (typically featuring the main stage performers) for the adults in the adults clubs, kid events like game shows and trivia, free tours of the ship, free drawing lessons, and MORE.
Nowadays, you can see the navigator (or the daily list of events for the cruise) through the Disney Cruise Line app, and you may not receive or have access to a physical navigator onboard.
Each cruise also includes deck parties, select special events during Disney’s themed and holiday cruises (like special character meetings or book readings during the Very Merrytime Cruises or Marvel Day at Sea).
Access to the fitness room onboard is also included, and there are typically select exercise classes offered for free (though some exercise classes are an additional cost). Spa services are an additional cost on the cruise ship, but you can typically tour the spa on select days for free, just to get a sense of the space and see what options are available.
Fireworks are offered aboard most Disney Cruises. Fireworks viewing spots all around the ship are included.
And, of course, you can’t forget all of the pools and splash zones! There are pools for kids, pools for families, and pools just for adults. A pool for everyone!
Make sure you stake out your lounge chair for prime sunbathing and pool access!
Disney Wonder Kid’s Clubs
All of the cruise ships provide youth and teen clubs to keep the kids entertained during the cruise. There’s even a nursery for those wee ones (for an extra fee). Each youth club is tailored to a different age range and includes different entertainment elements. And each ship has its own unique take on each space.
“it’s a small world” Nursery (Ages 6 months to 3 years)
Yes, there’s even a spot for your baby! So, if you’re looking to book a massage or enjoy a nice dinner with your partner, or even take a nap (because we know you’d love an undisturbed 3-hour nap), you can take your tyke to the nursery. Space is limited, so you’ll need to book your child’s stay as soon as possible (between 75-120 days out, depending on your stateroom and Castaway Club status).
Disney’s Oceaneer Club (Ages 3 to 12):
Kids are able to visit Disney’s Oceaneer Club. It’s broken up into different themed rooms and based on your child’s interest. They can play in Andy’s Room, Frozen Adventures, Marvel Superhero Academy, and Disney Junio. These fun spaces also come equipped with engaging Counselors to lead crafts and activities, and Disney pals stop in to visit the kids throughout the day.
Disney’s Oceaneer Lab (Ages 3 to 12):
Another unique spot for kids to hang out and be creative. Your junior Imagineers can create in Animator’s Studio, Craft Studio, Captain’s Workshop, and The Wheelhouse. So, kids can be creative and get hands-on with some of the best tech and art activities available.
Edge (Ages 11-14)
Tweens have their own space aboard Disney ships. Located in different nooks and secret spots around the ships, these tween clubs provide kids with a chance to hang out with others their age, play games, have a dance or karaoke parties, and engage in counselor-led activities, or just hang out and play video games. Their own little mini vacation within a vacation.
Vibe (Ages 14-17)
While designated as a teens-only hangout, Vibe is chaperoned by some of the coolest counselors at sea, in a laid-back way that allows teens to feel as unrestricted and comfortable as they can possibly be.
With so much for kids to do and enjoy that is tailored just for them, you might find they spend the whole cruise in these kids spaces, leaving you to enjoy those adult-only areas we mentioned above.
