If you’re planning to go on a Disney Cruise in 2024… well, first of all, you should let out a big “WOO HOO!”
After that 😉 , you’ll likely want to put together your list of planning considerations including which Disney Cruise ship you’d like to sail on (which, of course, will also likely be based on the available itineraries and destinations for each ship in the fleet), when to sail, and, of course, your vacation budget. To help you get an idea on that last factor, we’re taking a closer look at pricing for one specific Disney Cruise Line ship today: and it just so happens to be the OG… the beautiful Disney Magic!
Now, pricing will vary based on several factors including the length of the cruise, the departure port and destination, the number of guests in your traveling crew, the time of year, and your chosen stateroom category. So, here, we’re presenting starting prices (based on cruise length) for 2024, and then we’ll also go through a couple of those additional factors that may affect your ultimate cost.
Starting Prices Based on Length of Cruise
A couple of notes on the prices below: they INCLUDE taxes and fees. Please note that the Disney Cruise Line states that “If you would like a stateroom just for one person, you will be charged the same total package price as 2 Guests staying in the same stateroom,” however, taxes and fees will be adjusted accordingly for solo passengers.
- 3 nights: starts at $1,464 for TWO Guests in one stateroom
- 4 nights: starts at $1,330 for TWO Guests in one stateroom
- 5-6 nights: starts at $1,747 for TWO Guests in one stateroom
- 7 nights: starts at $2,767 for TWO Guests in one stateroom
Pricing Guidelines Based on Stateroom Category
Be aware that stateroom category pricing difference is not an exact mathematical formula, and it varies from cruise to cruise.
But we have some good-to-know guidelines you can expect based on the various room categories:
- Inside Staterooms typically offer the baseline, lowest tier pricing;
- Oceanview staterooms start at 15% more expensive than inside staterooms;
- Verandah staterooms are about 10% more than oceanview rooms and 25% more than inside staterooms;
- Concierge staterooms are 45% more than verandah rooms and about 58% more than an inside stateroom.

Additional Pricing Factors to Consider
Select sailings also offer special, seasonal themed cruises. For example, every ship in the Disney Cruise Line fleet — not just the Disney Magic — features Halloween on the High Seas sailings in September and October (starting dates vary based on itineraries), and Very Merrytime sailings in November and December.
That said — and as you’d likely anticipate — taking a Disney Cruise is more expensive on the dates immediately surrounding major holidays (including any sailings over the Christmas holiday and New Year’s Eve) and school breaks in the United States (such as Spring Break and summer seasons). So, if you are able to sail in a less in-demand season, the less your cruise will cost.
Departure Ports and destinations also affect pricing. One great thing to know about the Disney Magic, in particular, is that it will be visiting Disney’s NEW island destination — Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point — on select sailings in 2024, and it will also be stopping at Castaway Cay (Disney Cruise Line’s private island destination, which will remain a destination even after Lookout Cay makes its debut).
And a few sailings will stop at BOTH Disney island destinations!
Stopping at both of these unique destinations, however, may also be reflected in a bit of a higher price. The difference is not major, but it does exist, so this just serves as one example of how destinations may affect your pricing.
So, these are just a few things to keep in mind if you’re hoping to set sail on the Disney Magic in 2024! But did you know that in late 2024, there will be ANOTHER Disney Cruise Line option to consider? The Disney Treasure will be the sixth ship to join the Disney Cruise Line fleet, and if you’d like to learn more, you can check it out HERE!
