You probably thought you’d seen all of the food booths at the 2023 EPCOT Food & Wine Festival by now…but we’ve got some exciting news for you!
Four booths opened LATE at this year’s festival! They arrived on September 22nd to celebrate Disney’s 100th anniversary, and of course we’re heading in to try out ALL the new items. Come with us to the Swirled Showcase booth to find out whether it’s worth a visit!
Menu
Over at the Swirled Showcase booth, you’ll find a variety of available items, all of which are sweet! There are three flavors of soft-serve ice cream and a nitro cake treat, 4 different drinks with no alcohol, and 3 drinks with alcohol.
Now that we’ve taken a look at the menu, let’s dive into the food itself!
Eats
First up, we grabbed the Mickey-shaped Liquid Nitro Cake for $4.75. We saw a similar treat at the 2020 EPCOT Food & Wine Festival, although those weren’t Mickey-shaped, so surely this year’s version is an upgrade.
This cake pop is very moist and dense, but it’s also very rich. If you don’t ADORE chocolate, this likely won’t be for you. The nitro coating helps hold it together, so it doesn’t melt as fast in the heat as other treats.

You can also get various soft-serve flavors here, including Vanilla, Apple Cinnamon, and Salted Caramel. Each waffle cone costs $6 — you can get the ice cream in a cup, but the price will stay the same. We grabbed the Apple Cinnamon and loved how refreshing it was. It’s not too heavy on either flavor (although cinnamon is a bit stronger than apple). We think this is a great fall treat while it’s still warm outside.

We also grabbed a Salted Caramel Soft-Serve Cone to try, and we loved the natural caramel flavor. The ice cream was creamy and thick, and we think it’s the perfect treat for fall.
We got a Cream Soda Float with vanilla soft-serve for $6.25. It’s made with strawberry soda and vanilla soft-serve, and the portion between the two is perfect in our eyes. We love the smoothness and creaminess of the ice cream, and the soda is light and refreshing. This will likely be a classic favorite for many!
Finally, there’s a Fanta Grape Float with vanilla soft-serve for $6.25. It’s very similar to the Cream Soda float but with grape soda instead. The grape soda is much stronger than the strawberry, and we don’t think it pairs very well with the vanilla. However, our reporter isn’t the biggest grape fan, so if you love grapes, you may want to give it a try!
Now let’s move on to the drinks!
Drinks
Although this is a new booth, a lot of the drinks on the menu look surprisingly familiar!
You can get the Frozen Apple Pie (non-alcoholic) for $6.25. We’ve had this drink before, and we really enjoyed it! This year’s version is VERY strong on the apple flavor, and it melts quick, so watch out. We love that the filling pieces at the bottom really taste like apple pie, and the crumble on top adds a great texture. However, there are apple chunks in this drink, so it may not be for everyone.
There’s also Cinnamon Apple Cider (non-alcoholic) for $3.75. In years past, this drink was available at the Appleseed Orchard booth (which isn’t open at this year’s festival). We don’t think this version is as strong as other apple ciders we’ve had. It’s more on the tame side, but again, the cinnamon is stronger than the apple. It’s served cold, not warm, which might throw some people off, and while it’s refreshing, we don’t think it’s a must-get.
Next up, we got the 3 Daughters Toasted Coconut Porter Float with vanilla soft-serve for $13 (it’s also available without the ice cream for $11.25). This was very strong on the coconut flavor, but the salted caramel and beer all mixed very well. It reminds us strongly of a Samoa Girl Scout Cookie! It’s very rich and large though, so we recommend sharing if you’re planning to eat around at many different food booths during the day.
Finally, we got the Berry Fizz Fragolino Red Sparkling Wine Float with vanilla soft-serve for $13. We loved how sweet and refreshing this was! The vanilla soft-serve is the perfect addition to the wine, and the raspberries on top add a great texture. Despite all the fruit flavors and ice cream, we don’t feel it’s overly sweet. If you’re a fan of light, sweet, fruity flavors, this will likely be a hit for you!
Overall
Overall we think this is a booth anyone who has a bit of a sweet tooth should stop by! Chocolate lovers have something they’ll enjoy, as do fruit-centered dessert people, and those who like their alcohol sweet. Now, if you despise sweets, we’d recommend staying far away from this booth!
That’s it for this booth, but there’s a LOT more where that came from!
