When you work at Disney World, you learn a thing or two about a thing or two.
Not only do you learn the nitty gritty on the location you work at, you also learn a lot about Disney World as a whole. You’ll learn fun facts and history, but you’ll also learn a lot about park and hotel operation. You also learn just how harmful social media is, and how much it ruins the fun for everyone else.
Day after day, we see TikToks and social media posts highlighting “hacks” to make your trip to Disney World easier. So many of these so-called hacks have ruined things that were once exclusive, since people used these “special tips” to try to score Magical Moments with Cast Members, or wound up going in a “secret entrance” that’s actually off limits. By taking random advice from social media, you are not only hindering the experience of others, but you’re also making the Cast Members’ jobs much harder. The perfect example of this? Resort parking.
A common “hack” shared on social media is that you can order food (or even just coffee) from a quick service location at a resort, and your food pick-up time is enough to get you past resort security. The hack says that you can then park, grab your quick service snack, and then walk to the theme park nearby or take the Skyliner/Monorail.
Y’all. Stop doing this, please. This “hack” is actually breaking the rules, and you could quite literally be towed. Cast Members are cracking down on this and keeping a closer eye on the cars that go in and out of the guest parking lots. We’ve actually gotten notifications from locations like Contempo Cafe stating that prolonged parking is prohibited.
So… If you’re trying to avoid a parking fee, it might be better to pay that rather than the fee that will come along with getting towed.
We’ll continue to keep you updated with more Disney news and tips, including Disney tips you SHOULDN’T follow. Make sure to follow along for more so that you’re always in the loop and never miss a thing.

John says
Nor necessarily.
Recently, I went to pick up an order from Contempo Cafe. I was informed by security I couldn’t enter because I didn’t have a room or dining reservation.
They actually cancelled my food order and turned me away.

To echo what John above me said, same thing happened to me at Poly recently as well. I made an “on the whim” mobile order for some bread pudding as I was leaving the MK Parking lot. It was around 8pm and the CM at the gate absolutely would not let me drive in to grab it. This was a Wednesday night, not during a busy week.
I ended up turning around, pulling over and making an 8:30 dining reservation at Kona. When I went to check in at the podium I told the CM I was only going to order a bread pudding and would rather mobile order to not take the table or waste the servers time. They laughed and agreed with me.
I get people take advantage, and that sucks, but maybe section off a few spots for people with mobile orders and have a CM run the food out if they’re that worried about people parking. Ticket/tow any unattended car.
