Staying at one of Disney World’s deluxe hotels feels pretty good. You have access to some amazing restaurants, additional transportation options, and even Extended Evening Hours in the parks!
Of course, all those extra amenities come at a pretty steep price. A weeklong stay at one of the deluxe resorts on Disney property can cost several thousand dollars — and that’s not even including park tickets or transportation. While Disney’s deluxe hotels are all pretty popular, we’ve noticed that one of the newest resorts on property just isn’t quite as famous as the others. However, we think that fans are making a mistake by counting out this new spot!
OK, to be fair, the hotel we’re talking about is technically a “Good Neighbor” hotel (meaning it isn’t owned by Disney), but resort guests still enjoy the same perks as a deluxe Disney World hotel guest, like Extended Evening Hours. Despite the fact that Walt Disney World Swan Reserve is a fairly new hotel, we don’t seem to see many people talking about this resort. Why?
Well, first of all, the Swan Reserve is pretty expensive. For a family of four, a one-week vacation package in a one-bedroom Signature Suite in early January 2024 costs almost $8,000. (Note: if you want to purchase your park tickets separately, you’ll need to call 407-939-5277 for the room-only rates.) For such a high price, many families may prefer to be closer to the Disney parks or have access to more Disney dining options.
But did you know that this hotel is part of the Marriott Bonvoy family? That means that you can use your Bonvoy points here to make your stay cheaper. Or you can earn points on your stay that you can use toward your next one!
Additionally, this hotel has a pretty major drawback: It’s not easy to walk to Disney’s Hollywood Studios or EPCOT. If you’re looking for a Good Neighbor hotel in the EPCOT resort area, many guests choose to stay at the Walt Disney World Swan Hotel or the Walt Disney World Dolphin Hotel instead, as these resorts make it a little easier to travel to two Disney World parks. In fact, there’s even a boat dock by the Swan and Dolphin hotels!
However, it’s important to note that the Swan Reserve isn’t actually all that far from the Swan and Dolphin hotels. It’s just across the street, so the small amount of extra walking to get to the EPCOT International Gateway entrance wouldn’t actually affect your trip much at all.
Guests might be forgetting that the Swan Reserve is a really lovely hotel. It’s bright, clean, elegant, and there’s a nice pool, too. And don’t forget that it’s brand-spanking-NEW!
We love trying our all the new hotels around Disney World, and this one is no exception. We’re not hearing many people bring up this hotel, so we think it’s not getting all the love it deserves!

$8000 for a week here? Could that possibly be right? Who would spend more than a $1000/night here? To put it in perspective, I just did a little quick research of some bona fide Orlando luxury properties. The Waldorf Astoria is less. The Ritz-Carlton is less. The Ritz Carlton is similar or maybe a little more. So are they telling us they’re on par with staying at the Orlando Ritz Carlton??? I’ve seen pictures of both and that’s a resounding NOPE. They’re really not on par with the Waldorf and that’s 1/3 the price! If people “aren’t talking about” this hotel, it’s probably because their pricing is a joke and nobody takes them seriously.

I meant to say in my comment that the Four Seasons is similar or a little bit more — so of those three luxury properties (Waldorf Astoria, Ritz Carlton and Four Seasons) only the Four Seasons seems to be more than the “Swan Reserve,” a property that nobody has heard of. No wonder nobody is talking about it.

After I read $8K a week, I tuned out. I’m not staying at a cube for $8K a week. I’d rather be at the Polynesian or Wilderness Lodge.

I think they made a big mistake by putting their signature restaurant on the 3rd floor instead of on the top like California Grill.
