Beep beep! We’re pulling up to share an update on the parking situation in Disney World. We don’t know about you, but when it comes to driving around Disney World, we like to know the parking rules ahead of time so we don’t get turned away or caught paying extra for a parking spot.
The good news is that most Disney World locations have plenty of parking spots available — even on a super busy day! But if you’re planning to visit Disney Springs this year, you may need to know this important parking update.
Beginning October 1st, the Orange and Lime parking garages and the Watermelon and Mango parking lots at Disney Springs will open at 9AM, according to the Orlando Sentinel. Disney Springs typically opens at 10AM (it will still open at 10AM on October 1st), so this change gives guests an extra hour to arrive before most shops open.
Hot tip: Gideon’s Bakehouse normally opens at 10AM, so we suggest heading there first to get a good spot in line!
We’ve got more news! Orlando Sentinel reported that the secondary access from the Orange Garage is reopening. This will give guests a new way to enter (or exit) Disney Springs! The secondary access at the Orange Garage leads to the shopping area between Splitsville and Everglazed (known as the West Side walkway). Security checks will remain in place here.Â
Luckily, there are TONS of parking spots available in the Disney Springs area, and these new opening hours may help you snag a better spot first thing in the morning. In the meantime, we’re always on the lookout for the latest Disney news, so stay tuned for more.
