The Disneyland Hotel is a popular choice for many folks over on the West Coast, and it’s about to become even more popular for some!
On September 28th, the Villas at Disneyland Hotel opened its doors — providing 12 stories worth of Disney Vacation Club villas to the hotel. These brand-new rooms will provide an updated space for Disneyland regulars and new visitors alike to relax while they’re away from the parks. The best part? We got to check them out, and believe us when we say that they are STUNNING.
The Villas at Disneyland Hotel have rooms themed to different Disney classics like The Jungle Book, Sleeping Beauty, The Princess and the Frog, Fantasia, and more. Of course, we’re taking you along so that you can check them out, too. Are you ready? Let’s go!
First, let’s talk about some of your options here. There are a variety of room types at the Disneyland Hotel, ranging from a duo studio to a three-bedroom Grand Villa. Here’s a peek at the grand exterior.
Inside the lobby, guests will enter a bright, colorful space full of Disney details. Before we even step inside, we’re already spotting some nods to a few classic Disney attractions. See those Haunted Mansion portraits straight ahead?
The sign located out front gives you a good idea of what to expect. Look out for pretty colors, beautiful art, and lots of Disney details!
First up, let’s check out the lobby.
There’s lots of art, sketches, and models all around! We love seeing the concept art for some of Disney’s classic movies.
Every good lobby needs some comfortable seating, right?
This may be our favorite part — look at this mural! It’s got all our favorite Disney characters.
Need to get in a workout? They’ve got you covered!
Now, let’s check out the Two-bedroom Villa. These rooms are inspired by Disney’s Fantasia.
The bathroom is clean and bright — and we love the tilework!
Can we all take a moment to appreciate this MOSAIC?!
Here’s a look at the other bedroom. The headboards are so whimsical!
The kitchen is stocked with plenty of glasses and dishes, plus a few nods to Fantasia. Do you see the little Sorcerer Mickey?
Here’s the view from the living room area.
When the murphy bed is pulled down, a cute picture of Mickey is revealed!
Moving on, let’s explore the new Deluxe Studio rooms. These are Sleeping Beauty-themed, and you’ll find lots of dreamy details around this room. They sleep four and are about 340 square feet.
The bathroom here has plenty of light for those who are doing hair and makeup before a night out in Disneyland!
Of course, we must show off the bed with that beautiful castle artwork!
As you can see, there are tons of Sleeping Beauty details here.
Up next, we toured the One-bedroom Villa, which is inspired by The Princess and the Frog movie!
Princess Tiana looks STUNNING in this portrait!
Don’t forget to look UP! Even the ceiling looks good.
The shower is nice and large!
In the living room, the couch has a murphy bed tucked away.
If you’re looking for a smaller room, consider the Duo Studio. Can you guess the theme?
Yep, Disney went with some colorful Jungle Book themeing here!
The artwork features a soft color palette while the textiles are bright and colorful!
Here’s a look at the TV, fridge, and counter area.
Finally, on to the Three-bedroom Villa. As you can expect, this room was large, luxurious, and elegant.
The room features a full-size kitchen, complete with all the amenities you may need during your vacation.
In keeping with the theme, we spotted lots of nods to Disney movies, like Frozen and Moana.
There was lots of beautiful art all around.
The Moana room was quite large, so there’s plenty of room to spread out.
As you can see, even the staircase was filled with subtle Disney touches.
The windows were HUGE — imagine all the natural light that pours through this room.
Of course, we had to see the view from the balcony. We could stay out here alllll day.
OK, on to the next area! Of course, no Disney hotel is complete without a POOL! Right near the new tower, you’ll find the brand-new Palette Pool area.
We had to include a shout-out to this comically large sign warning guests about the pool water. Don’t drink it.
The pool deck has lots of seating and a good amount of umbrellas for a little shade.
The new pool is nice and large here!
If you’re looking for a place to relax, we suggest coming HERE!
Disney revealed that when the sun sets, the splash pad transforms from black-and-white to COLOR.
This little Steamboat Willie splashpad is adorable.
So… What do you think? We think the new additions are stunning, and we can’t wait to see what else is in store over at Disneyland. We’ll continue to keep you updated with more Disney news, reviews, and advice, so make sure to follow along for more.

Pretty hotel but why does Disney insist on these Murphy beds. Does not look comfortable or luxurious for the price you’re paying. Why not just do two queen beds? It seems Disney making smaller rooms to fit more rooms in at a higher price. We’ll try out the two bed hotel room but if it’s too pricey for value then we’ll skip it next time.
