Frozen director Jennifer Lee is not saying a whole lot about the much-anticipated Frozen sequel that is currently in pre-production.

In fact, the information that Lee has just shared is extremely cryptic, but “exciting” all the same!
Jennifer Lee, who is also the Chief Creative Officer for Walt Disney Animation Studios, has an impressive filmography resume with Disney, so the fact that she spearheaded and directed one of the biggest blockbuster animated film sequels in Disney history comes as no surprise!
Bob Iger, Chief Executive Officer for Disney, announced back in February of this year that the Frozen series will indeed have a 3rd movie. With the 10-year anniversary (YES! A whole decade has gone by since the original Frozen came out) approaching, this was welcome news, for sure!

At this time, Frozen 3 is currently in pre-production and Disney fans are waiting for any updates they can get! Although Jennifer Lee has not come out with plot information or specific details, we have been given a tiny and mysterious update!

In an interview with ComicBook.com, Jennifer Lee was quoted stating, “The only thing I can say is Bob has announced there’s more Frozen. And I’ll say what we are working on, I am very, very, very excited about. That’s all I can say.”
Talk about a vague update! But hey — if Lee and Iger are excited, so are we. We also can’t wait for all the Frozen fun coming to some Disney Parks!

Frozen-themed lands are coming to Hong Kong Disneyland, Disneyland Paris, and Tokyo DisneySea. Those parks will be sure to pull in all the Frozen fans from across the globe and we can’t wait to see how Frozen 3 plays into those expansions!

I’m anxious about Frozen 3. I’ve been a huge fan of Frozen 1 (2013) since it came out. It’s been one of my favorite movies ever made. However, I was so let down with F2. I hope for Frozen 3 that we see Anna & Elsa in their iconic Frozen 1 outfits & braided hairstyles again. I also hope Elsa stays single and she moves back to arendelle as the rightful queen. And Anna should stay princess of arendelle. I miss those days. I’m still heartbroken by F2’s ending. Hope Frozen 3 can bring back the joy we got from Frozen 1
I so disagree!
I thought Frozen 2 was LEAGUES better than Frozen and the ending was perfect. Elsa is not the rightful queen. Anna is. She is a far better fit for Arendelle and for royalty. Elsa needs to be allowed to be who she is, where she finds joy and fulfillment. That is not on a throne. The fact that you want her with her hair braided in her “iconic” outfit just reeks of oppression and control. When she is creating herself, she has her hair down and she wears pants beneath her skirt. She is barefoot and active and engaged. She is not being a controlled, suppressed, manufactured version of someone designed solely for the comfort and satisfaction of other people.
Anna is personable, strong, and far better suited to a royal role. She wants to lead. So why shouldn’t she? And why should she be in the pigtails of her childhood now that she is an adult? Grow up and let them grow up, too.
I’d like to get Kristoff’s story. How did he become an orphan? What happened to his parents? How did he end up with the trolls? Is he Northuldra? Is that how he got Sven? So many questions. And F1 focused on Elsa, F2 was more about Anna, so now we need to know about Kristoff.
