There are a LOT of ways to get to Disney Springs, but one of the most efficient involves driving yourself. Sure, you can take a Disney bus or boat, but you might end up waiting a while for that transportation to show up. Or, if you’re staying at Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort, you can walk to Disney Springs. But for those of you who prefer to park at Disney Springs, we’ve got an important update to share on the parking situation in Disney Springs.
Recently, we shared an announcement that Disney Springs had plans to change its parking rules. So, if you’re planning to visit Disney Springs, you may need to hear this important parking news.
Starting on October 1st, the Orange and Lime parking garages and Watermelon and Mango parking lots at Disney Springs now open at 9AM. Disney Springs usually opens right at 10AM, so this change allows guests to park in the garages and at the two outdoor lots before most stores officially open.
If you’re planning to visit the World of Disney store first thing in the morning, you might want to park inside the Lime Garage. Meanwhile, the Orange Garage is over on the other side of Disney Springs by the AMC movie theater.
Additionally, the secondary access from the Orange Garage is now open. This will give guests an extra way to navigate Disney Springs! The secondary access at the Orange Garage leads to the shopping area by Splitsville and Everglazed (known as the West Side walkway). Security checks will remain in place here.Â
These new parking hours may help you out if you plan to visit Disney Springs first thing in the morning. In the meantime, we’re always on the lookout for the latest Disney news, so stay tuned for more.

Hello, I’m sorry but what is the rule. Am I missing something important in the article? I go to Disney spring a lot every time I visit Disney World and I don’t want to be caught by surprise. Thanks!

I thought there was a sign saying you’d be towed if parking at Disney Springs to go to the parks? That is why there are NO busses that go from there to the parks. When people want to go to Disney Springs and parking is full because people are in the parks instead, no good.

What parking garage is closest to Gideons? Thanks!
DFB Gigi says
Hi Dottyanna. Lime Garage is the closest to Gideon’s.

Thanks, Gigi!

When life was normal pre COVID you could park in the Orange garage on any level and go to the AMC theater and Bowling Alley and shop the entire Disney Springs area and return to the Orange Garage to exit. If you wanted to go to the World of Disney for shopping or the restaurants you could simply park on any level in lime and exit at either end of the garage and return to either exit when you are leaving Disney Springs.NOW which ever garage you park in on any level you MUST go to the 2ND FLOOR thru the long gated barricades to go thru security. And to exit the shopping area you must go to the 2nd floor to attempt to make it to your vehicle!!!!!
Why can’t the security checkpoints be at both ends of BOTH ORANGE AND LIME GARAGES in stead of having to do ALL THAT HIKING to the 2nd Floor where there is always extremely heavy pedestrian traffic coming and going?????
If we are just going to the movies or Hard Rock it would be so much less hassle to just go between the Theatre and Bowling Alley if we had parked that close to these facilities to exit from that end of the garage instead of having to go all the way over to the west side of either garage if SECURITY CHECKPOINTS were located in both garages at both entrances of both garages??????? Now that the holiday season is in full swing it if going to be madness to go from one side of either garage to the extreme other side of the garages to go thru security. Life would be so much easier I would think.
I wish security would please consider having to check points in both garages PLEASE
