Hollywood Studios is known for the glitz and glamour of the movies and shows.
If you want to feel transported into your favorite show, you head to Hollywood Studios. Inside this Disney park, you’ll find entire lands blasting you into the scenes, rides that make you part of the animation, and shows that put you in the middle of the action. It’s cool when they continue to improve the way they make us feel like we’re part of the show. We recently noticed that one show seems to have gotten an update that does just that.
If you’re a fan of Kermit, Miss Piggy, or Beaker, then you’ve probably been to the Muppet Vision 3D show in Hollywood Studios. And if you’re a fan but haven’t seen the show, we recommend making a trip over to Grand Avenue to check it out!
We’ve always enjoyed this show. It’s funny and heartwarming, and you’re sure to be entertained. This show has been around for a while and as you may realize, it’s based on the 1970s-1980s show The Muppets.
As old as it is, it was probably time for some upgrades and we are convinced that Disney has done just that. There have been some technological advancements made to the projection system inside the Grand Arts Theater! We are now noticing there seems to be projection mapping inside the theater. This means all the projections are fitting the architecture of the building almost seamlessly.
This has also added an improvement to all the projections on the wall. We especially noticed this when Waldo got blasted out onto them! He looked so much clearer than he used to with the older projection system.
Not only is he clearer, but when he gets vacuumed up, all these Waldos don’t just seemingly disappear, but actually fly back into the screen. You can see them apparently moving back towards where they came from below.
A Cast Member did confirm for us that the projection system has been updated, but it’s taken people a few days to notice. But once we did recognize it, we would say it’s a big improvement! We’re glad to see Hollywood Studios, and specifically Muppet Vision, getting some love.

Glad to see the Muppet theater getting some love. Been a LONG time since that area has seen any improvements, at least since Galaxy’s Edge was built.

Now, if they could just replace or reupholster the seats.

I love the Muppets 3D! That’s my favorite attraction in the Hollywood Studios (I’ve never seen the M&M Runaway Train yet). I also loved the Little Mermaid Show, but I heard that this has never reopened as of yet.
