Get your sea legs under you — we plan to set sail in just over a year!
The Disney Treasure is the newest addition to the Disney Cruise Line and is scheduled to set sail in December 2024. The voyage is described as a cruise “where the spirit of adventure meets the daring tales of classic Disney films and Disney park attractions,” per Disney.
Sailing for seven-night cruises, the ship will travel through eastern and western parts of the Caribbean while providing guests with special Disney perks, such as character dining, special attractions, and Disney entertainment. Early this month Disney provided us with an October 2023 update that gets us even more excited for the Disney Treasure launch!
According to Disney’s update, the Disney Treasure’s forward funnel arrived at the Meyer Werft shipyard in Papenburg, Germany early this month after a voyage from Poland. The funnel will be painted shiny red (a staple of Disney Cruise Line’s fleet) and is expected to be secured aboard the Disney Treasure soon.
As we previously reported, the forward funnel will house the EPCOT-themed Tomorrow Tower Suite, but that’s not all. Guests will also get to plunge through the funnel on the AquaMouse sea attraction! Additionally, guests aboard the Disney Treasure will be able to watch their favorite Disney movies on the Funnel Vision screen by the family pool.

I only hope and pray Disney will have the good sense to scrap the theater in the round dining set up and the 1923 dining concept, and for that matter the Marvel/Spider-Man dining experience. All three were terrible on the Wish. So bad that I refuse to ever travel on the Wish again.
