Who doesn’t love a new cruise ship?
With summer 2023 coming to a close, we are getting a lot of news about things coming our way in the future. While Disney Cruise Line debuted one of their newest ships last year, The Disney Wish, they aren’t the only cruise line with some tricks up their sleeve! Yesterday we got a pretty cool announcement from Royal Caribbean that we NEED to share with you.
Royal Caribbean announced their brand-new ship, Star of the Seas, which they plan to debut in summer 2025! Royal Caribbean hasn’t announced much about this ship just yet, but they did announce that there is something for the whole family on board and we can’t wait to see it.
While we wait with bated breath for more information to be announced, we will continue to imagine just how AMAZING this ship is going to be.
Until then, we’ll wish that we are on the NEWEST ship in the Disney Cruise Line fleet, because, let’s be real, we can’t wait until 2025 to step foot onto a new ship.
The Disney Wish is the newest member of the Disney Cruise Line fleet, and while we love Royal Caribbean, we also LOVE Disney and can’t stay away from them for too long. The immersion in the Disney bubble while also getting to enjoy the ocean views and beautiful Bahaman beaches is an experience you can’t get anywhere else.
And don’t forget about the Disney Treasure cruise ship, which will make its maiden voyage in December 2024! This new ship will have a Jungle Cruise lounge, some seriously luxurious staterooms, and even a Coco-themed restaurant with characters.
While you’re waiting for more information on the Star of the Seas to drop (trust us, we are too!) don’t forget to check out other offerings from Disney Cruise Line and Royal Caribbean! Keep up with us here at Disney Food Blog and we’ll be sure to update you with new information.

I believe the new ship is called the Icon of the Seas from RC, and it is definitely kid friendly, more like a floating amusement park. It is very impressive, but relaxing on this boat is not part of the cruise. You can bet it will be plenty noisy and crowded.
