To say that a lot is happening at Disney World right now would be an understatement.
Disney’s Polynesian Village
A new attraction just opened at EPCOT PLUS that park will soon have its multi-year transformation complete. New restaurants are coming to the resort, too! However, we’ve been keeping a close eye on one specific project to see how it’s been coming along, so let’s head on over to Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort to check in.
Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort is getting some brand new Disney Vacation Club villas, and we’ve been following the construction progress since it first began. The last time we checked in, a LOT of the structure for the building was already in place. It’s wild to see how far this project has come along.

Well, here’s a more recent photo of the construction of the towers — do you notice anything different?

As you may have seen, Disney has installed windows on a LOT of the building — in fact, there are windows on most of the exterior that we can see right now.

Now that the basic structure is almost complete, we’ll probably see more of these additions to the buildings moving forward.

Of course, there’s still a LOT more work to be done. Disney has stated that this project will be finished in late 2024. Here’s everything we know about new hotel rooms! As always, we’ll keep an eye on construction and keep you updated as the project continues. So stay tuned to DFB for more.

This used to be a hidden gem Resort. Not any more. Fingers crossed, I hope the imagineers get this one right.
This is such an eyesore on the lagoon and eliminated a wonderful transition between two properties. No Polynesian building should be taller than the Grand Ceremonial House.
