We’re gonna do it. We’re going to bring up a controversial Disney World topic…are you ready? Let’s talk about hotel perks! (*insert dramatic gasp here*)
In the past few years, some hotel perks have disappeared, like the FastPass+ early booking window, the complimentary MagicBands, Extra Magic Hours, and Disney’s Magical Express service. Because of this, some fans are feeling a little miffed about what’s still included with a Disney Resort stay. So we reached out to those very fans — our readers — and asked them a big question.
Recently we posed a question to our readers on Facebook — “What would you say is the BEST hotel perk in Disney World?” And boy, did we get a VARIETY of responses! Answers were all over the place, but there was one that stood out.
What would you say is the BEST hotel perk in Disney World?

About 28% of our readers answered that the BEST Disney World Resort perk is the complimentary transportation. Those answers ranged from just “transportation” in general to more specific notes like the Disney Skyliner or the Monorail, but according to our followers, it’s a great perk that Disney offers.
In case you haven’t stayed at a Disney Resort in a while, you should know that the Disney-owned hotels all offer complimentary transportation to the four theme parks, two water parks, and Disney Springs. The majority of the time, this is in the form of Disney’s massive bus system, but some hotels also offer Monorail, Skyliner, or Friendship Boat transportation to select destinations.
If you stay off-property, arranging your transportation to Disney World parks is a bit more complicated. While some places offer shuttles, they don’t run nearly as often as Disney buses do, and sometimes they’re only available for a fee. Often people who stay off-site will use rideshare or drive themselves to the parks.
There’s no extra fee to use to the Disney buses, boats, Skyliner, or Monorail, and you can get just about anywhere on property by using the vast transportation system. Sometimes it takes extra time to wait for a bus to arrive, but the cost savings might be worth it, especially if you were considering rideshare or rental cars.
But transportation wasn’t the only perk our readers mentioned! Many people also mentioned that they enjoyed the Early Theme Park Entry and Extended Evening Hours perks for on-site guests. Early Theme Park Entry is included for everyone staying at a Disney hotel, while Extended Evening Hours is exclusive to Deluxe Resort guests.
So what do you think? Do you agree that Disney World’s transportation is the best hotel perk? Let us know in the comments! Our readers seem to be big transportation fans, and we certainly can’t deny that it’s convenient for getting around Disney World.

Disney’s Magical Express. That is the best perk ever, or a minimum of 30% off all dining or merchandise purchases for DVC members.

My guess is that in the near future, Disney will offer for purchase, an all day transportation pass.

I love the Extra Hours but I wish they would at least rotate the Hotels who are allowed to participate. Now it is for Deluxe hotel only, why not rotate the Moderate and the Value resorts on certain days to allow those guests the opportunity to experience them.
