Disney World rides are some of the most immersive out there — they instantly transport you out of reality!
Whether that’s because you’re busy fighting Kylo Ren on Rise of the Resistance or jumping into a cartoon on Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway, there are so many stories you can explore through attractions. This applies to roller coasters too — there’s a reason why they all almost always have a long wait! However, this week, one coaster saw a jump in wait times that caught our eye and we had to let you know about it.
We’re talking about Space Mountain over in Magic Kingdom! This coaster takes you into outer space and is one of the more thrilling rides in the park. Nearly every wait time increased this past week, but Space Mountain saw a 47% jump!
Last week, it posted an average wait time of 33 minutes. But this week, you’ll see a 53-minute average for Space Mountain! This doesn’t come as much of a surprise overall — park pass reservations were completely sold out for one day this week and our reporters noticed higher crowds in Magic Kingdom.
If you’re hoping to skip the line at Space Mountain, remember you can book a Lightning Lane for it with the purchase of Genie+. The price varies by day, but it does tend to be higher when crowd levels are higher. Want to skip the line for free? Head there first thing in the morning when wait times are lower!
Without further ado, check out the rest of the average wait times in Disney World from the last week!

Jeffrey says
If you do away with lighting lanes, the standby line wait times WILL come down. Even cast members that I spoke too don’t like the lighting lanes. They said at some rides it’s 80 to 10 guest split. Meaning they were told to let 80 lighting lane guest’s in to 10 standby guest. It’s pretty obvious why standby wait times are so long. And that’s all thanks to the money grabbing disney executives that made that decision…
