One of our favorite things to do in Disney World during the holiday season is visit the amazing, GIANT gingerbread displays that pop up at several hotels throughout the resort.

Disney already confirmed that these incredible displays will be returning to five hotels on property, but they also revealed that a brand-NEW display is coming to ANOTHER hotel!
Disney dropped lots of holiday announcements recently, including an opening date for the new Frozen-themed show coming to Magic Kingdom and a look at Mickey and Minnie’s new holiday outfits at Jollywood Nights.

Part of the big holiday announcements was confirmation that several larger-than-life gingerbread displays will be returning to hotels like Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort, Disney’s Beach Club Resort, and Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge.

But wait! There’s a NEW gingerbread display coming to Disney’s Yacht Club Resort!

We already love the gingerbread carousel that gets built over at the Yacht Club’s sister resort, the Beach Club, but now we can’t wait to see what Disney dreams up for Yacht Club.

Disney shared that their culinary teams start prepping for these giant displays a full seven months in advance. They’re mixing dough and baking gingerbread for months to get ready for construction to begin in November.

That huge gingerbread house at Grand Floridian takes a full three days just to build, even with all of that preparation!
