Picture this: it’s a chilly winter evening, you’ve got a cup of hot chocolate in hand and a cozy blanket on your lap, and you’re all settled in for a Disney Christmas movie. Life is good. But, let’s be honest. A person can only watch Home Alone and Elf so many times in a season. Luckily, Disney has a few NEW movies and shows on the way this year, so prepare for some relaxing nights on the couch this season!
You’re going to need a Disney+ subscription to see all these new holiday movies, so if your membership isn’t active at the moment, you might want to consider using Disney+ this winter — it’s the perfect time of year to watch movies at home! Now, let’s see what kind of festive new movies are coming to Disney+.
Three words: Ludacris. Christmas. Movie. Need we say more? Dashing Through The Snow is the newest Christmas movie headed for Disney+, and it follows a man, Eddie Garrick (played by Chris “Ludacris” Bridges), who has denounced Christmas after a traumatic childhood experience. A man who has denounced Christmas?! We love a classic Christmas movie trope.
Our protagonist takes his 9-year-old daughter out with him on Christmas Eve at the request of his wife (whom he’s separated from), where they meet a man who claims to be Santa. But there are some bad guys after Santa, which leads Eddie and his daughter on a wild Christmas Eve adventure.
This movie premieres on Disney+ on November 17th. Check out the trailer below!
But that’s not all! Disney’s The Naughty Nine is ANOTHER new movie set to premiere on Thanksgiving Day on Disney+.
The movie stars Danny Glover as Santa Claus. But things in the North Pole take a turn when the naughty nine have their own holiday plans this year, and they don’t seem to involve any of the nice holiday traditions.
You can watch the trailer for the new movie below! Look out for this fun Christmas movie on November 22nd on Disney Channel and Thanksgiving Day on Disney+!
If you’re in the mood for a Christmas-themed show instead, check out season two of The Santa Clauses this November! The first two episodes premiere on November 8th on Disney+.
Season 2 of The Santa Clauses will bring the Calvin family back to the North Pole. After failing to find a Santa successor in the first season, Scott is training his son Cal to take over the role. But look out! The family will have to go up against a Mad Santa who reigned during the 14th century and now wants to reclaim the North Pole. Yikes!
There will be six episodes in the new season, with the season finale released on December 6th. Watch the trailer below!
Oh, and more good news! Mickey’s Christmas Tales, a 5-episode series of shorts, premiers on November 29th on Disney+. Looking for more movies and shows to watch on Disney+ this November? We’ve got a full list of everything coming to the streaming subscription service in November. In the meantime, we’re always on the lookout for the latest Disney news, so stay tuned for more.

I feel Disney should make better Animated movies and series. With the animation that was used in the series Tail Spin and the animated movies we all loved like Tarzan with great music!
I do not feel children can enjoy Disney as I did as a child. I looked forward to every holiday as Disney would have a couple new animated movies to help children celebrate the holidays with Disney in the front of their minds. The Disney Chanel and Disney junior has gone down hill with how the animation looks. Sofia the first, Eliana of Avalor animation and songs really made my kids want to watch Disney as often as they could. I remember when my kids would see the Animated movie coming out in theatre were in real excitement. Now everything is either series with half ….. animation that a kindergarten kid could draw such as how whiny kid is drawn. No realistically drawn animation. There is now more adult shows or with movies with people in it. Children do not get excited about those. I miss watching Disney movies being the quality that Disney movies used to be. Please think about what I have said. I have loved and watched Disney movies for 40 years. I would sincerely love to see movies during all holidays either set up like Disney had it where they were clips from other movies of Micky and the gang or new amazing animated movies where the artists were experimenting on how to make their animation look more real and having music from Elton John and Phil Collin’s really set the movies off in a such a big way. Kids remember the words to this day
