Do you have a Disney Visa?
We’re sure you know about some of the rewards you can get with the card, like the opportunity to buy exclusive Disney souvenirs, discounts, exclusive character photo ops at EPCOT, and more. You can also earn rewards on your purchases that you can use for a variety of things, including Disney vacations. But did you know you can use those rewards at the movie theater?
When you cash in your Disney Visa rewards, you get a Disney Rewards Redemption Card, and believe it or not, you can use that Redemption Card at AMC Theatres for movie tickets to Disney, Marvel, and Star Wars movies, as well as movies by 20th Century and Searchlight.
Note that you cannot use your rewards for concessions or an AMC Stubs membership — the rewards are ONLY meant to be used for movie tickets. However, you can still earn AMC Stubs points if you use your Disney Rewards Redemption card to buy tickets.
So, if you’re not saving up those points for a Disney vacation, you can treat yourself to a movie! Be sure to keep that in mind the next time you head to the theater.

My Disney Chase VISA is a decent credit card – although it only pays me 1% back on purchases – and its rewards can only be used for Disney-related items…and now in AMC theaters (but only for tickets). That’s not exactly a perk when you still have to pay out of pocket for their highly overpriced refreshments. By contrast, my Mastercard pays me 2% back, my other VISA card pays me back 3% on food and 4% on gasoline, my other Chase card pays me 5% back on grocery purchases. And there are no restrictions on how I use any of those paybacks.
If you’re going to write a Disney blog, remove the rose-colored glasses, be less enamored and more factual.
